Which do you believe in?
I believe in free will. I don't believe that whole "it's all part of the bigger picture" stuff. Everything is too random for that.

Im not going to give a long-winded explaination of my beliefs, so I'll just say Free Will.
Although it is pretty hard to argue against a firm believer in fate, because the whole time they just say "Fate meant for that to happen" or "its fate."

Well i believe in a little bit of both i feel you can be brought to something by fate but your free will ultimately makes the choice.

Well, to give the full explanation of my thoughts I'd have to write a book, but it's kinda mixed.
Basically;
Some incidents or events in your life may be provided by "fate" but still your free will allows you do what you want with it.

I would prefer it if I had control over my own life so I would choose free will...
Although, in some cases, fate wouldn't be so bad. =]

There is no such thing as fate, only the inevitable.Tell me something, anything that is inevitable? I bet you anything that I can prove that it is not. Wth, actually, that is a contradiction, if it is inevitable, then it can just as well be called fate, since that is exactly what fate is. What reason is there to try sounding deep when there is no possible way to apply logic and reason to it?
I do not believe in fate as in "everything that happens, have happened and will happen did so for a purpose and could not have happened in any other way", no I don't. That seems to me more like running away from having to decide for yourself and instead blaming everything on fate.

Well, I do believe in free will because we are to choose how we live our life.
Yet i cannot denied fate, as we choose the path to our future we cannot what's waiting for us. That how fate come into the equation and finish it. The path you take is always pre-determine, because our path in this world will always more than 1 path to choose, even if you choose a path you are bound to find another problem and again another branching route to be pick. That's why i said fate can exists, the only you think you don't know is your future. The future is a mystery which we will never know and it is our free will to choose how you live your life.
If found this to be contradicting then go ahead, human thinking is a hard thing to decipher.
If the our route is only one way then there is no need for free will.

A little bit of both. But you shouldnt let fate cloud your judgment. Make your choices and see how they turn out. But you shouldnt think no matter what its already decided. Sometimes it is, but you should always try to change your future.

I believe in free will. I don't think that everything happens for a reason or that something happens because fate has decided that that's the way it's going to be.

Physical death is inevitable.

Consequently birth is inavitable too?
Naturally looking, that's just a transition from one state/form to another. Or are you speaking of consciousness, miss orange?
You're right, Jichan, birth is inevitable, too. ^_^ Since I don't really believe in an afterlife, I do feel physical death is also the end of your unique consciousness in its entirety. People share snippets of who you are but will never get that complete picture ever again... nor do they in Life either, I guess.

Fuck fate.
Humans don't have absolute freewill either. We are deterministic to an extent. We have certain predispositions, and we didn't choose for them to be.

True, your death is inevitable in the end, but only If you are born. Birth is not inevitable though. There is a lot of actions, choices and consequences that lead to your birth, and if one of them would not have been fulfilled, You might not have been born. Therefore, it is not inevitable. Fact is that it is really less of a chance that just You should have been born than that someone else would have been. Of course, this is not a matter of Your free will though.

But in terms of your own life, being born was inevitable. You yourself had no say in whether you could be born or not.

You've just only creating your own fate not something that popping out from nowhere.
yeah all of us have free will and fate is a part of freewill that you create.
