Look, it's very simple. Sometimes opposites attract and sometimes they don't.Edit: Oh yeah, and sometimes they attract both ways.
Why do I get the feeling that was directed especially at me? <.<

So how do you think - would they, by the time their puberty takes place, start mating with the same sex? Some would, some would not as everything apart from personal believes of a few people such as yourself indicates that you are born gay or straight. And the concept that humans would act like animals if they weren't taught anything is flawed. And who defines what's "natural"? If natural is just what's most common for you then it must also mean that it's natural to be a complete retard as most people are pretty idiotic.
First: oi lad, i was trying to point out that personal beliefs are distracting people from seeing the real deal about the subject. It's just like you said. Why would anyone even want to do something unnecessary for surviving without beliefs/views/opinions?
Second: I agree. All hypothetical logic is flawed because it is based on imagination and can't take everything into account.
Third: Do not mistake - common sense (which is also considered as norm) is based on human understanding of naturality.
Now what is this naturality i'm always speaking about?
Like Tsurayu noticed homosexuality in some creatures (i don't know what), i would like to say that taking example of behavior from other speacies is also flawed:
Let's take spiders - after they have mated the female eats the male.
Would you also eat your partner after sex?
The point is, every lifeform on this planet was given it's own kind of body structure not for our meaningless mimicing or imitation.
Naturality defines as following the needs and purpuses of your specific organism. It means realizing it's natural (created by nature) destination. Why did i say the word following and not creating new? Because your body is already adjusted with specific survival requirements which, consequently, generates specific behavior (impetus), in the same way as it was formed for any other type of living being.
As we see animals/insects/plants don't give a single thought to their behavoir like "does their sexual orientation satisfy or dissatisfy them", or "how cool would be fucking a specie of the same sex?" -
they are only pursuing the needs of their own bodies. And to ahcieve this goal they act according to their provided abilities, available by their existing body complexion and potential. People call this - instinctive behavior.
Hope i do not need to explain to you the purpuse of human's body parts like dick, balls, pussy and asshole.

It seems like you're implying that it's wrong/immoral/bad because it's unnatural.
In that case (if that's not the case, this still applies to the bullshit unnatural arguments):

I'm a bisexual, with many gay friends, and I haven't seen any judgement -yet- but I think here in New Zealand, overall it seems to be frowned apon, alot. Both my dad and my best friend from high school are homophobic, made coming out so much harder. Females have it alot easier than males though, even I can get offended due to things said to my gay friends. But anyway, this is why Gay Bars were invented, no discimination~!

I can be a little too honest sometimes >.< But all males judge gays, and some females, but gays make the BEST friends, seriously, my best gay friend is like a boyfriend, but without the physical stuff, its awesome.

That's probably because he likes what you like. (Men) :D

All the homosexuals I've ever met were genuinely bad people and bad friends outside their sexuality, so I'm probably not the person to offer a minimally-biased position.

If homosexuality is normal, why aren't people who do incest or people who want sexual relations with children considered to be normal as well...? If love is a behavior that cannot be helped, why frown upon other practices, while supporting another?
BTW, Jichan, I think I'm gay for you. Just kidding. But yeah, good arguments.
When it comes to psychology, I agree that people's emotions are learned through experiences. Look up B. F. Skinner and John Watson people.
The fact that people cannot help what they're attracted to is bullshit. Then cultural styles would never change throughout history.

It's questionable at best whether they can really consent to such a situation.
Incest, dunno. Doesn't bother me. Your line of thinking is warped though, asking why pedophiles can't be viewed the same as two consenting adults...

If the child consented, and you knew for a fact that there were no manipulation behind it, would you deem it okay for an older man to have sexual relations with the child? And if yes, would you find it to be normal?

If those requirements were met, I don't see a reason not to. Though I find it hard to believe this actually would happen in a real scenario.

What's "normal" and what's not is shaped by society standards. In the society we live in, naw it wouldn't be normal but why care? Pederasty was ok in Ancient Greece, so there.

I could probably argue E. A. Poe, but the fact that it would happen in a real scenario is not the real issue. The fact that you find this to be okay is quite disturbing though.
I'm wondering where the line is drawn for people who think anything is okay if someone is emotionally driven (since they can't help it).
Why even have ethics in society? Why follow rules and regulations just as long as we aren't hurting someone if we should be able to do whatever the fuck we want? Is it because we as humans have basic principles we know to be right and wrong even without an explanation? That as humans we have governance over our own thoughts and actions while restraining our emotions? I think so.
I just can't agree with the logic that pretty much anything is okay and acceptable as long as you can justify it with emotions, which apparently impairs our ability to choose.
The fact that you believe an adult can have a relationship with an immature child just because they're emotionally driven just does not seem right at all as they both have millions of choices. Our destiny is not predetermined by our emotions.

I'm not asking about society's norms, I'm asking about what you think is normal as a person who thinks homosexuality is socially acceptable.

Homosexuality can be natural... it happens in some primates as orgies take place and there are often same sex relations in these orgies. It's all just Hormones and chemicals within the brain working at different level. The idea that if you are a homosexual you are bad because you're not controlling your lust. You can say the same for any desire and that sex with females should only be for procreation ect and that we should not enjoy it. Clearly, someone has been reading some plato

I don't get your point at all, to be honest.
My opinion is fairly extreme; as long as the people involved consent to it, I don't see a reason to prevent it. Since I can't see a child consenting to a sexual relationship with an adult, I don't think it's ok.
And where is your problem now? I don't see what sexual relationships with minors have anything to do with homosexuality in general at all.

A related topic I just got finished discussing with someone else is homosexual marriage.
Without even stating my own position on whether homosexuality is right or wrong, I have a solution.
One of the main issues that opponents of gay marriage in the U.S. (especially religious types) have is that marriage is an institution that is strongly linked with taxation. Married couples pay less in the way of taxes than unwed couples do. This essentially makes marriage a tax incentive, which means that the rest of the tax-paying citizens are in part picking up the slack.
What gay marriage thus amounts to is millions of U.S. citizens being forced to lend support to homosexual couples, despite their religious beliefs standing in opposition to homosexuality.
This, in turn, leads to a serious legal cluster-fuck with regards to the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
Forcing citizens whose religious beliefs oppose homosexuality to support gay marriage is a flagrant violation of their Constitutionally-protected rights, Q.E.D.
However, there is a solution.
The religious see marriage as a religious institution. Having marriage as a taxable/tax break-worthy entity on the law books is in itself a violation of everyone's Constitutional rights, not just the religious groups'.
So, for the sake of religious freedom, equal rights, and justice for all, there can be only one acceptable course of action:
Take marriage off of the law books in every way shape and form. It doesn't belong there. It should be neither encouraged nor discouraged, neither supported nor suppressed.
