My teacher had taught me that you don't need a reason to love someone. I knew that since I have my loved ones with me. However there are time where you feel hatred towards a person for unknown reasons, or is it just me? I would go for yes, But I want to see everyone's opinion about this.

Is the answers' yes, then you agree there is no need for a reason to hate someone and eternal peace and utopia are impossible

If no, you believe there is always a reason for everything even for hatred and peace is attainable if desired.

People don't need reasons to hate. But there is almost always a reason for it. I think what you're getting at is people don't need a good reason to hate.

For example, let's take the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to hate; the one that gets the namesake over "hate"-crimes, race/ethnicity hate. A person could seem to not have a reason to be a racist, but there is always a reason for it --whether it be by nurture or nature, or if some guy just so happened to rub you the wrong way once and you internalize that for everyone that looks like him---.

Rather, I think the better question to asking is: Is all hatred justified? But that's a question that anyone could answer. No, not all hate is justified. Of course it isn't. Most hatred is fueled by irrationality.

Most, if not all hate comes from fear and/or ignorance.

People have reasons they love their family. There's no such thing as unconditional love.

I hate people i know because i don't like them.I can't hate for no reason.There always has to be a "Why".

If you dig into the psychology behind "unconditional love", there's always a reason.

There is no such thing as 'unconditional' love, because there is always a reason; always a condition. And rather than explain it, myself, I think this quote expresses the sentiment much more eloquently.

"I loved Sarah, Charles. It was mine, that love. I owned it. Even Sarah didn't have the right to take it away. I can love whoever I want".

At the barest minimum, all a person really must do to be a receiver of another's 'unconditional' love is exist.

What everyone else said, all feelings have a reason. If you know how to explain your feelings, then that is taking one step further into "adulthood"

Manipulating emotional cues is pretty common these days with advertising. Physiological influences can strongly determine the range of an emotion as well. It's impractical for a emotion to be without a trigger. You probably just didn't recognize it and improperly call it "without reason."

The triggers really aren't as important in most instances anyway, emotions are nice expressions of your state of mind. Don't worry about the why and enjoy the sensations life granted you, eh.

That said you don't need to or won't always understand why you hate/love someone, which what "love don't need a reason" is all about.

If you can't think of a reason for either your love or your hate, you better start to closer examine your emotions and reasoning!

Its called "Feelings" A emotion that is hard to explain in words.

Well I have read the book Little Prince. If you all guys say we need reason to hate, then love too?

But I guess love is more powerful than hate. I mean it happens all the time.
Like in G Gundam. They gave their last attack with love, which is unexpected.

I always believe there's a reason for everything. It may take some deep thinking to find out what and usually I find the culprits to be right on the surface.

Sometimes the reasons are pretty small and simple, even if it ain't right to ya.

Not having a reason for hating someone/something is simply trying to cover up the real reason the object is being hated.

Hate is a sign of weakness. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's essentially impossible to just give up on all feelings of hate. Even the nicest people have moments where they find it hard, if not impossible, to give in. But it really is something you should work hard to eliminate from your life. It serves no purpose except for making you feel worse. There is no reason why you should hate anyone, and even less of a reason to hate an inanimate object. Rather than hate people who do wrong, or worse, do wrong to you, you should try to fix their behavior if possible, and if not, choose to pity them for being able to act in a positive manner.

Hating anything or anyone is the worst possible choice. Whenever you feel the emotion, try and stop, analyze why you feel that way, and do away with it.

For me everything needs a reason for love and hate but for love someone does not need a reason but to love your girlfriend and to marry her you need a reason but for family is different but for hatred it needs a reason even if its something petty as he disagrees with me.
