Point of View on Death
0
I'm scared because I don't want to leave people behind. I have always thought that death was a scary thing, especially if there is nothing but blankness. When I think about it, I feel like I'll suffocate. I mean, I'm having so much fun, and when I think about it stopping, I completely freeze up. Death is inevitable, but I don't like the idea of it.
Also, the reincarnation portion is a big deal for me. I don't want to die and be reincarnated into a child that is born into poverty, or something difficult like that.
I also don't want my method of dying to be painful; I want it peaceful. Then again, nothing like that really is peaceful, is it?

I want my death to be quick and painless, I don't want to die drowning, hanged, gas chambered, old age and torture. Because before you feel the pain of the bullet your already dead, I want my sons and or daughters to use sepukku on me. I will always openly accept death, who knows what's behind that black curtain. . .

Well, I would say that we shouldn't fear or be saddened by death, since it is an inevitable part of the cycle of life that grips us all, and that when its our time to go, then its our time, regardless of where you are or what you're doing. I believe that what you do with that time you're given is what matters, so live your life to the fullest so you that if you die, regardless of what comes after death, if anything, you can go without regrets.

To me, death is not being able to do what you've desired -- metaphorical sense of course. Then again, physical death occurs each passing second and there's no way to stop it. Actually, science has given its all in prolonging life -- medications etc, which is actually against the rule of nature. Overpopulation, anyone?
To put it simply, one should accept death when it comes to them. And to accept it, one should be able to accept the life he lived -- they're just two sides of the same coin anyway, life and death.
I would eternally hate my death if it was painful though. Make it so that I die on my sleep and I'll give you a huge death hug...

Humans are only afraid of two things, embarrassment, and death.
I guess I'm not really afraid of death, but when I know it's close, that will probably change. I'm not the kind of person who cares about material things though. I think I would probably deal with it okay.

hm well I remember a few years back reading a philosophy/science post on another forum about how when we sleep, we die each night. From the idea that the body simply shuts down [save for breathing and heart rate]away from any outside input. [sorry guys I really wish I could find a link, damn good read]
So what if, once we die we end up in our dreams? This idea kinda stuck with me for a while. What do you have once you erase the conscious?
Another idea that I think about from time to time is not how I perceive what happens in death, but more how other see death. I'll try to explain the best I can. Life is how one views it right? If someone feels that they have a good life, then its good. If someone feels that the life they lend is negative, then it is. I usually hear this view on life side by side a conversation about 'finding the right one' or 'how to get others to notice me' etc. etc.
For example, one guy thinks his life is going well. He lives in a apartment complex, single, a few but good friends, works at a dead end job. Lets remove that easy going guy and replace him with someone that wouldn't think that this kind of life is 'good'. This person sees this as a bad life and somehow that train of thinking leads to that same guy losing his job as well as his place of living. You could say that, in order to pin down the art of having a 'good life' you have to admit that the life you have currently is just as good otherwise it'll just turn unfavorable results. Same idea could be applied to how one would rather think there's a heaven and hell while yet another would believe that there's reincarnation. If people see it as that, then it would be shown as that.
I apologize for the wall of text.

I'm not afraid to die but also I don't want to die, I feel there is something I have to achieve before I die and also I believe we are born for a reason to god's will, I'm kind of excited when I die, cuz don't know where i go to hell or heaven, I at least know if I'm a bad guy or a good guy.

Death...I don't think about it. I don't fear it. I just live my life how like. I have 0 regrets and if I die today or in a 100 years I won't care.

I find comfort in a passage of the Apology by Plato, and I paraphrase and quote:
Death is an unknown; it may not be the greatest good, but it is certainly not the greatest evil. "I will never fear or avoid a possible good rather than a certain evil."

Idk, i'm kind of a cetic guy. I think dying might be something like 'the end' you know? Like, no nothing, no afterlife, no ghost, no nothing, it just ends.
But i'd like if i became a ghost : D
I already haunt ppl while alive. Being a ghost would be funny lol

Do you know that 90's movie, Ghost, with Patrick Swayze?
If being a ghost was like in that movie, i would be able to also feel up the girls i'm stalking and would never get caught, yay!

I don't think there is anyone that isn't afraid of death to some degree or another. I would say that I'm not in total fear of death, while by no means to I view myself as sagely mature I've accepted death as inevitable and a part of everything in this world. But it is animal instinct to fight death and part of that fight is the presence of some degree of fear. This is part of what makes things in life fun though. Nothing like taking a seemingly deadly risk to give you a nice big shot of adrenaline o.ob

meh life and death are two sides of the same coin, together but can't face each other.
It's human nature to fear what we don't know and the prospect of leaving something behind unfinished or not only adds fuel to it.
Me I don't fear death its inevitable, all life are destined to be born, just as they are all fated to end one way or the other.

Never been afarid of Death since my views is that if youve accoplished everything you want and you feel contended then the next step is to just dissappear.

I do not want to die, I am scared of death but if I'm going to die I'm gonna do it with a bang or do something real funny and disgraceful, but I haven't been put into that situation yet.

I'm not scared of dying. Fact is, we all die one day, we don't even know when we'll die, it could tomorrow, in a few hours, in a few weeks, or after I finish writing this and posting. Heck, just live your life and do what you want to do until the day you die eh, doesn't you have to throw away your life... Just be happy by making people around you happy too!
