There's a difference between dark in atmosphere and dark in lighting. There's no point in having a dark atmosphere if you can't see shit. There's a reason people only play through the "Who Turned Out the Lights?" level of EWJ once.
Would you rather have it like some of the levels in Neverwinter Nights, where if you didn't equip a shitload of items to increase light radius, YOU COULDN'T EVEN SEE THE WALLS, MUCH LESS THE MONSTERS?!

Yay, we'll finally get some PvP in Diablo instead of PK. Getting owned and losing your items wasn't fun, well I just saw it happen to a lot of noobs.

Knowing Blizzard who knows when D3 will really come out same with SC2, the predicted date for SC2 by retailers such as Best Buy, Circuit City, and GameStop is December 3rd. That's still a rumor I think and probably won't make it until 2009. They're like the kings at delaying games, check their record, lol.

It will cost. To buy the software. Diablo III is going to be free online, through battle.net. Just like all the other Diablo games, as well as Starcraft and the Warcraft games.

I would imagine it'd be around $30. They'll wait until expansion packs to pull more money out of you.

Some people are speculating that they may release for a console too; this seems unlikely from the layout in the gameplay trailer. I think they may go for at least a $50 price tag. I don't see any reason for them to keep the price low, especially since they know people will buy it regardless. It's even more likely since people are becoming conditioned to $60+ now.

i just hope they don't fuck it up by making it have the same quest and xp system as wow....wow u can't just go and bash things up to level YOU HAVE TO DO QUESTS in D2 go around KILLING EVERYTHING INSIGHT!!!!!!! to level which is personaly fucking awesome! am i right or wat? hte quests in D2 are good becase u get to kill loads of shit on the way and level ...unlike wow where u probs won't even get close to lvling
