I wonder if they are gonna force us to pay subscription fees for this, that was my major problem with WoW, pay 50 dollars and then pay another 15 bucks a month, wtf?? They better not. They are generating enough revenue from WoW already.

Also, that audiosurf kicked ass, I never seen that game before and now you make me want to get it =) Also, back in high school for this one class they made us have a journal and you had to write for 5 minutes at the beginning of class and it was nothing but d2 stuff and how i was gonna make the ultimate pvp zon.

im not sure about this, maybe you guys can tell me. are they going to do the same thing with diablo 2 online play (you create a game which is a seperate universe from other games) or is it gonna be like a huge world like world of warcraft where everyone from one server plays together, all the time like WoW?

Battle Net 2 is under construction to welcome SC 2 and Diablo 3. One of the Blizzard employe said they yet have to decide the way Bnet 2 will function but they said they wanted to improved Bnet2 to prevent cheat and all the stuff.
To me, it's pretty obvious they are heavily considering asking for a subscription, even a little one, to have access to Bnet2.
The first Bnet supported Starcraft, Diablo II, W3 and Tft... and the players weren't paying. That's what made it a success.
However now Blizzard have a very very large range of customer. With their fame and if DIablo III and SC2 are a success (which will probably be the case) they could ask for a fee for Bnet2 and it wouldn't prevent them from selling a lot...
Lathandien: Diablo III is gonna be a hack n slash, like diablo II, sacred, Titan Quest...
And no this is not a permanent world. When you create a game a random map is generated which you progress through. The only things that remain are the basecamp for the questline and the mandatory places and mobs for the questline.
In Diablo II you could have 6 (8? don't remember) people in a game at the same time. The map just disppear at the end and another is created...
Well, this is not a permanent world like WoW.It couldn't be more clear xD

They have specifically stated that Battle.net (any version) will still be free to play on in the foreseeable future.

I like the cultural variety they have going among the classes. You have the Barbarian from the north, the African Witch Doctor and the Monk from the east.
I can't help but speculate that they're making him out to be the Paladin's replacement. They both have that holy/tank/physical damage thing going on. Only instead of heavy armor and a shield, he has decades of physical conditioning and defensive techniques to ward off damage.
The website's description gave me the impression of a tank. "The monks’ skin, the accounts said, was as hard as iron, impenetrable by the blade of any sword or by the point of any arrow, and their fists could break stone as easily as you or I would snap a twig."

so they finally came out with some more updates; is it always a 3 month gap between them?
I like the monk, as his skills remind me a lot of a Shaolin monk, but his appearance I would say is closer to a Hindu.
And I hope he isn't as much of a spell user as a Paladin, but more closely resembles the Assassin.
