Same, read somewhere that it wasn't canon. Which is sad because I heard that was the only interesting thing about the ending.

Really? Talk about suckage. I really hoped that they would continue with that storyline.

But I can understand where it's coming from. Many players might have made the choice to not have a baby with her. It would be really hard for BioWare to make a sequel that could be based off two possible storylines. They would have make two separate games just for the story. It's not like Mass Effect, where the endings are still similar despite differences. DA:O's endings are completely different. The endings can end in so many different ways.

I still can't wait to see how the save files from the first game will work in the second. I suppose it has something to do with which armies you chose and who's king.

My biggest fear is that BioWare oversimplifies the game,I like the new graphic style and the story will be great,I only don't like the human only decision.

Looking forward to this one, wanna see what that new combat system's like for console versions. As for story, what happened to the darkspawn?

And what do you think happened?, they returned underground to search for the new Archdemon as they always do ;-)

They didn't. After Awakening, we don't know for sure, but if you saved the Architect it will tell you that the Deep Roads have never been quieter.

So it's safe to say that there's no darkspawn in DA2? That guy with the horns in the trailer sure doesn't look like one.

Also to note(according to Wikipedia), Flemeth will return. I don't know how, since I killed her in DA1.

You killed only her body, but her spirit survived. After all she is a very powerful abomination...

Not that there are no darkspawn, just that they have their own free will now and that they aren't looking for a new archdemon.

I would've thought that the dragon was her final/ultimate form, once killed gone forever .. bitch just won't die

You should, it's awesome, albeit too short. Still. it's just an expansion, but it gives great insight on the darkspawn.

Is this going to be a direct sequel to the first story? cos i'm really hoping for some characters (morrighan) to return...

Dragon Age 2 will span 10 years and will overlap the last two Dragon Ages (from what i've been told). Going off what i heard the only past companion that's confirmed to make an appearance is Nathaniel Howe.
