I think retailers will soon have a sony statue in front of each of their doorstep.

So...Sony just kill Microsoft with the Used games Thing.

It's pretty much confirmed that there will be no BC. This was caused by the Ps3, and currently the PS4 is sowing the result. Sony tries to solve it by using Gaikai games streaming.

In the long run, if there's going to be a PS5, I'm positive it will be BC with at least PS4.

What do you call it when Sony's President of Computer Entertainment fires shots at Microsoft for a solid 2 minutes about it's features, then proceeds to show FAR better previews, functions, deals and services than Microsoft for a conference span of over 20% longer than every other conference shown today?

I hope Gamestop doesn't stop refurbishing ps2 anytime soon then... That or emulator I guess. I have a game library of over 90 ps2 games (80-90% jrpgs), so this is depressing.

Had to work through most of the press conferences. Just caught up. It's a good day to be a Playstation fanboy. Final Fantasy 15 right into Kingdom Hearts 3... I had multiple nerdgasms.

I can't wait to see how poorly the Xbox One does. I'm definitely getting a PS4. FFXV and KH3 is enough for me to want the console. $400 is a reasonable price as well.

PS+ is 50usd a year, and I don't think they'll be changing that since your psn account gets transferred over.

Sony made a strong case to consumers as to why it's better than the Xbox One.

They had a bit of technical issues and framerate problems, but at least they showed actual gameplay.

Investing in my PC is my #1 priority, but picking up a ps4 after launch window seems very tempting.


Although as someone who owns both a Wii U and a 3DS, I look forward to what Nintendo has to show.

Sooo, am I the only one who thinks that the PS4 looks like the bastard child of the Xbox One and the Wii U? Seems like it's taking a lot of elements/traits from both consoles. Also, I would like to see some solid specs for both consoles so that I can make a decent comparison. For the moment, I'm still leaning toward the Xbox largely in terms of hardware and game library. I haven't read much on the PS4 yet, so there's still a chance that I could be swayed.

On a different note, Titan Fall looks fucking amazing. Makes me think of a cross between MechWarrior and Blacklight.

More PS4 for me.

Xbox is done. I feel so sorry for Microsoft. The Sony conference was just a kick to balls to Microsoft.

What would be a let down would be that the xbox one is more expensive but the games a lot less expensive than those on PS4. And actually that's probably the best way for microsoft to take back some customers. This is a major issue.

On backwards compatibility, well, PS2 could run PS1's game, with a stroke of luck, it might be the consoles are going by pair!

I'll admit I laughed at the used game ad hard however I honestly think Microsoft's conference was better than Sony's buuuut that pricetag on xbox was too high.

Sony will most likely win the "console wars" unless Microsoft does something amazing and unexpected.

I still won't buy any of the consoles.

I read on that their cloud network would allow PS4 owners to play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. Would be monthly pay system like XBL but comes with more benefits.

Not completely familiar with this streaming deal, but I guess it'll be Steam like system.. How one loads the games to the cloud to be played, I don't know yet.
