wow thanks for re-uploading this man, it's been like what about 3 years since i played this and eventhough i still have my installer from back then everything else is lost (realta nua voice, English patch, my saves and the uncensored patch) well thanks to you not all of my hopes are lost... thanks a lot man heres a rep :D

For those who have finished all the three routes of Fate/Stay Night, this right here is a patch that will give an mini-route(so to say) called the "Last Episode" that is only available to the ps2 port of fate/stay night called realta nua, but Waku Waku and Hyarion from "http://rnpatch.blogspot.com" made this available for the PC port too.
This will give a short continuation to the Fate route in hope to give a sense of closure(which for me it did)

Instructions
-After downloading those two files, merge them using HJ split.
-Then copy the "4_2.xp3" file and put it in your Fate/Stay night folder of installation.
-After copying it to your Fate/Stay Night folder, see the last "patch#.xp3" file in your folder (for example if you downloaded amorim's file it would be "patch7.xp3")and rename the "4_2.xp3" file to "patch(add 1 to the last patch that you have).xp3" so if you downloaded amorim's file rename it to patch8.xp3.
-If you are using a voiceless installation of Fate/stay night, you must also extract "novoice.xp3", renaming it in the same fashion. Make sure it's patch # is higher than that of the main patch.
-After copying you should notice the change in background when you start the game and an addition button that say "Last Episode" :)
Warning
Be Warned that when you install this patch various problem will appear
1. There will be additional CG in the graphic option that is not available normally for the PC version and
2. As this patch gives an additional option that is not supposed to be there, it seems that you cannot play normally so if the time comes and you want to play it normally just erase the newly copied patch#.xp3 and copy the "galleryfix.xp3" from the downloaded folder and copy it to the Fate folder, and rename it to patch#.xp3(in amorim's file case it will be patch8.xp3)

So I've tried downloading this game from both this thread and Aydrian's thread and some of the RAR files were corrupt from both uploads. Could this just be a problem with my WinRAR or are these files actually corrupted?

err i guess it's because of your winrar problem or you had an error while downloading, try download it again and if it still persists, then most probably it's your winrar getting berserk lol

from what i've heard, fate/stay night has a horrible (useless, annoying etc. etc. etc.) protagonist and an unbalanced set of servants... is this true to any extent?

You're better of checking this about Shiro.

About the servants, I don't remember that well but I didn't think they were unbalanced at the time at least. Maybe my opinion will change if I give another read to Fate/stay night.

Shirou's not exactly the most liked protag out there, but for my money he's probably one of the best characterized protagonists I've seen in a VN. You may not agree with everything he does but you'll always know the whyof his actions and it's worth noting that he does change according to the route you are on.

At the very least, Shirou can and will fight his own battles.

As far as the servants, no I think they are pretty evenly matched. There is one character that is severely hax though, you'll know him when you see him.

First say specifically all that you done. Even the minor details matter.

That means you need to mount the Realta Nua DVD Voice Iso. After that it should work. I left all these instructions here
