Halo reach

the ending is so friging.. emotional. you know from the start of the game its going to happen if youve read the books or have common sense from the first three games. but its still so saddening and heart rending. from watching teh devblog vidocs i know that bungie was trying to go for an emotional ending, and i gotta say. they nailed it.

And that last level, seeing your spartan go out fighting was indeed a bit emotional. However, I think it would of been more badass if the spartan was a guy. Playing as a female spartan, I think it made me sad that she got jumped like that. If you could somehow live at the end, I think that would of been pretty awesome.

I pretty much knew Reach was doomed, since I read the books and all. But I sure didn't expect Noble Team to die one by one., thought they'd die together in some final epic battle. The last part, to survive the final onslaught was pretty emotional, cos you know you're doomed to die. Also, I liked that final scene, with the time jump to 2589, and Halsey's saying how you helped to end the war.

What i don't get, since the Covenant glassed Reach, how come it looks so normal after 37 years.

becuase if you recal in the book, they only glossed a portion of it. around most of the major citys and whatnot, but they left the rest untouched becouse they found furunner artifacts, you see more of that in the game. so by logic it would be a much faster recovery, the glossed zone to its condition before it got glossed. point being, say it got completley slaged it would be ALL glass instead of just a portion, and the ENTIRE atmosphere would be ehated to a plasma like state. destroying all life on the planet that somhow survived the inital bombardment ie seeds and whatnot. but sence they only glossed the certain areas those seeds are still there and theres still animal to repopulate once the ground heals.should also note that just because its called gloss/glassing doesint mean the entire surface of the area is turned to glass. just a layer of it, and even then only if its solid rock thats being hit. so theres still dirt and whatnot for trees to grow, so its quite pluasable that it would look like that even ten years later


TLDR: nature heals faster and more easily then you would think

In the 1st level you can actauly see some thing in camo running away the camo doesn't decrade though & you can't run fast enough to catch up.
