Is there a part in the game that only happens if you find all the datapads?
Can you refrase the question, cause I do not know what you are asking

It was a hell of a steep learning curve for this campaign. I'm not used to Elites that can kick me and kill me in pretty much one shot. Their sheilds are stronger, they're faster, their guns always seem to be better (Until you try to use it anyway) And boy do they love throwing huge numbers at you.I've been resisting Multiplayer until I get the Campaign out of the way, just cause I feel like it this time.
Yeah, and I've seen way too many grenades and cheap AI tactics like running away to let their shields go back up. I mean, it makes logical sense, but from an AI perspective I hate it. Everything just has a lot more health. Half the time I can't even kill a Jackal in the back with a shotgun at point blank range in one shot.
I think Bungie took one or two pointers from Treyarch's "How to Make a Game Difficult for All the Wrong Reasons."

A ray of Tsunlight.
I've actually stopped using the shotgun altogether. It's worthless to me in Campaign, even point blank range followed by a melee smack (Bread and butter of the close range type) still won't take an elites shields all the way down. (Aside from the invisible or jetpack ones, as their shields are weak)
The needler rifle is amazing for anything that you can get without a shield, like brutes. DMR can two shot brutes, one to knock off their helmet, next to kill them. Can two shot a Jackal, once to knock them off balance, next to kill. Problem is, they love giving you tiny, tiny amounts of ammo for it.
The part I'm at now (Won't say what level, or what happens) two pairs of hunters, I have next to no ammo, as has happened many times already, and I stopped playing before I decided to throw my controller against the wall.
Even two rockets against their unarmored back will not kill them, I have proven this about six times already.
They really wanted to make it hard didn't they? Or was 117 really just that much more badass than all the other Spartans?

Just bought it today, and just beat the campaign...
That ending was quite unexpected... at least for me...
But I enjoyed it nonetheless...

That I don't know. However I do know that some of the datapads can only be found on legendary. I used acheivement hunter to find them.
Also I need to know how to how to get the acheivement "If they came to hear me beg" were you must perform an assassination against an elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal. Apperently this achievement is the hardest one I have ever come accross. Can anyone who got this achievement please enlighten me on how to get it.

I followed trough tons of tips untill one guy pointed it out otherwise and I got it on the first try.

Alright, I have good news for everyone. After literally 7 hours of attempting this achievement I got it about 20minutes ago. I realized what I was doing wrong and I'm fairly confident that most other people don't realize what they're doing wrong as well.I am so confident that I know what to do I went on another account and got it the very first try.I even went a step further and I told this to a few friends and after hours of trying they got it their first try with this method.
My story for this achievement goes like this, I tried for 3 hours the day it came out, I tried every possible combination imaginable such as *when to shut off sprint, how far to jump ect..*as I'm sure many others have and don't understand why they're not getting it. I watched several videos and I knew I was doing it just as the videos described. I tried for 2 more hours over the past several days as well and then about 2 more today. I decided to take a break and I went to read some comments on youtube just to see if I could get any insight simply b/c sometimes you just don't think of everything yourself.
I then came upon a video on Youtube, the video isn't important, what is important is a comment someone made that says THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT EVERY VIDEO TELLS YOU TO DO. The commenter said instead of stopping the sprint early he waited until about he was 5 feet * or 1 second* away from the elite then he stopped it and did an assassination and he got the achievement, and guess what ? It worked the FIRST TIME I tried it. Every person is telling you to stop the sprint long before you're near the elite.
Now, I'm a logical person and I payed attention to what I did when I obtained the achievement, literally everything I did was the exact same as I was doing for the past 7 hours EXCEPT when I was stopping the sprint.
In the 7 hours I was trying I never tried waiting that long to stop sprint and I'm quite sure most other people aren't either.
Something worth mentioning is that you also might need to jump slightly earlier than you've been doing in the past.
I did it in 4 minutes after reading this :D

This vid really helped, I got it after about 50 tries.

Did the 1st half of the game on Legendary it's not too hard but there are some areas that are almost impossible to get past. The level when you fighting in space was the hardest one so far to get done once your in the ship over all.
I'm currently stuck on Exodus at the point you need to turn on 2 artillery batteries & it's getting on my nerves because I have no way of killing 2 of the wraiths.

Halo Reach reminded me of playing Halo CE, only played on Heroic so far but yeah xD.
Halo CE On legendary was crazy lol, elites loved to do acrobatic aerobics and utterly destroy you while they was at it oh and make you look bad. :P
I will reserve judgement until i have played on legendary on halo reach at least once the entire play through. But yeah, elites is just like that, they're quite aggressive and tough to take out due to their flexibility. Brutes was just other zerger xD That is way easier to take out, shoot their helmets then shoot at their head for one hit kill.
Brutes from halo2 was probably the toughest ones in whole series so far.
Chieftains in Reach is a joke, they died very easily to me so far on heroic. I'll wait and see how they do in legendary mode.

I haven't fought Elites on legendary since Halo 2 and that was 6 years ago. Brutes are easy to kill no prob but jeez... fucking Ultras and Zealots.
Oh hey Kind of Important plays this game too, I can now take my revenge lol... jk.

Do anybody else agree that Reach Legendary was probably the easiest out of the whole series? I mean seriously one of the things that disappointed me the most was that Brutes were so easy to kill. They weren't much of a threat.

meh i honestly found this one the most challenging from a purely AI perspective, their a bit smarter than average in reach , and not just all carrying plasma cannons and spamming you to death..least not usually

I never like to count ODST as it was never a real full game to begin with. For the most part it was just Bungie sending something out to keep us occupied so they could showoff Reach for those who actually bought it.
Also Reach still has enemies just spamming attacks still, lobbing f*ckloads of nades and only beating you due to having high shields that take forever to drop unless you use a plasma pistol. AI is still same as always. Standing still taking headshots for 3 seconds before finally moving and ally AI still as useless as always. The only hard part were just elites soaking damage. Everything else in the game was easy to deal with.

So far I have beat it on normal. Played the second mission on legandary (just to see how it is), died 16 times before beating the mission. Most thinking and strategizing I have ever done on a game ever. So instead of playing the rest of the game on legendary, I will be playing on Herioc just to get use to the complete and utter resistence the AI will be giving me when I do play it on legendary.
