is it worth it

hi i was wondering if final fantasy vii was worth playing i never played it
and thinking about buying it on amazon or something i herd it so post to be one of the best games ever made and it look pretty cool so has any body played it

If you haven't played it you're surely missing out on something. This game doesn't have it's reputation for nothing. Although it's the one I personally liked the least out of the FF-series (Mostly because the german translation was really weird on most parts.), but still an epic game nonetheless. Definitely worth it.

I prefer the FFX & X-2 series.

You'd have to be a pretty rare breed to NOT have played it. Play it ASAP.

Okay, I'm going to say a few things:
FFVII is old, so if you're big on graphics, don't bother.
The story can be confusing if you don't pay attention to some parts.
You might need a walkthrough at some parts. It can get tricky figuring out what to do sometimes.
The game is LOOOOONG.
Prepare to be mindfucked quite a few times.
If possible, try to survive long enough to see Supernova at the end.

in case u dun know the game has a sequel movie about it , but still in order to understand wat ur watching i suggest u play it first, and trust me when u watch the movie it will b 1 of those best CG movies yet... :D

Dude that's my favourite game. It's just completely awesome. The graphics might be a bit outdated now but the storyline is just plain epic. I STRONGLY suggest that you start playing it since it is one of the best rpgs still out there.

If you have any questions or get stuck somewhere do not be scared to ask since I know the game by heart.

Whether you like the game or not, it's essentially a piece of video game history now. Not playing it would be a disservice to you because you'll have no idea what people are talking about when they talk about Final Fantasy VII, Cloud, Sephiroth, etc.

Even if you hate the game, it's one of those things you have to get through, just so you can talk about it. It's like Passion of the Christ or The Godfather.

We all know the second one is superior and deserves the praise.

I'm not saying The Godfather isn't overrated or that it isn't the best movie ever made, but just like Final Fantasy VII and The Passion of the Christ, it's something that just about everyone needs to experience because just about everyone has experienced it, and you can't talk about any of those things (with any real meaning to your words) unless you've experienced them. The Passion of the Christ, for example, isn't included because it's the best movie ever made, but because a lot of people have said that it's the best movie ever made, and it needs to be seen, if solely so that a person can spit in the face of every person who loves the movie.
