KOFXIII

I'll be getting my copy of the game sometime soon. But I'm set on my team, who are Kula, Athena, and Elizabeth. I'll post more once I get the game and have gotten a feel for it.

Going to try to see if my local store has this in stock tomorrow morning. Hopefully they have it so I can pick this up along with Skyrim since everyone is telling me to get Skyrim. But, I do want this game more.

[color=#006FFF]When it comes to trials, it's all about speed. You have to do the hits the second you see that contact spark from a hit. I can usually only get up the 4th one without just stopping, since it's too much to bother with.
As for the EX in place of Super issue, I feel your pain. It happens to me about 40% of the time, but usually just because of a mess up on my account. They really shouldn't do an EX unless you're putting the input wrong (which happens during the heat of battles, I know), but under more tame conditions, it should be alright, I've noticed. That, or if you manage to keep calm the entire time, lol.
My problem just revolves around doing EX's when I want to do Neo Maxes. It can be rather cumbersome at times, because sometimes I'll only have 3 meters, and when I do an EX, that's one meter gone, ergo so is the Neo Max. :/
On an unrelated note, my team is boiling down to being between Yuri, and two of the following: Ryo, Takuma, K', and Kula. I really should get back to using others though, like Elisabeth, Robert, Shen Woo, and some others. Oh, and Team K' is also a general team that works well for me, so I'll be working with them as a team as well.
Speaking of Elisabeth, what the hell happened to her?! Why did they change her teleporting trigger (the quarter circle LP/HP or LK/LH) to being just a sidestep instead of a teleport? That seriously screwed me over when I used her. Now all she has is one teleporting move. Unless I'm doing it wrong, and she just happens to go through attacks instead of teleporting, with me.

If you have played Street Fighter, King of Fighters should actually be easier with inputs. There are a few chain attacks, but most are links, and they are not one frame links. You have plenty of time.
As for EX attacks coming out, you should look at your command list and see if you need both buttons or just one. Most Desperation Moves only require a motion and one button. I believe the EX DMs and Neomaxs require both buttons, although from my experience, only a few supers can be EX'd.
Leona appears to be a mainstay on my team, and will probably be my anchor. She is my favorite character and she is obviously my best character. I am decent at controlling space and the combos do not need to be huge with her. I am still learning her, but I really need to pick up two others. It looks like Mature will be my battery and Kula might be my user. I really want to use King, but I am just not good enough at the moment. She feels really awkward to me.

a few things
1.) link timing =/= speed. in the case of drive/hd cancels though, yes. everything else, you gotta learn to properly buffer through
2.) Its worth noting that Neomax has been changed to only cost 2 stock in hyperdrive mode... which is usually when you want to pop off a NM anyway.
3.) Elisabeth is more like her KOFXI self rather than XII... She has better tools and strong damage anyway.

Half the time I hardly even really remember about that gauge/look to check if it's maxed or not. Guess I should monitor it more frequently--or rather I should have been from the start, huh? Lol.

Seeing as how her uppercut is back it won't be hard to get back into the past XI mindset, I guess. I've been meaning to get some more practice done with her anyway, so I'll be sure to check some stuff out with her.

I shouldnt have a problem with execution and timing in this game (whenever I get it >_<). Since that's what Blazblue mainly consists of, and Tsubaki is all about execution (DP Whiffs and Frame Traps).

KOF is nowhere near as easy as BB, execution wise.. but its still easier than GG at least.

Like I said lol, I wont have any execution problems in KOF XIII. It'll just be a matter of adjusting to the game itself and learning the combos.
And just to clarify, BB doesnt have this "easy execution" you speak of. It just doesnt consist of any tight links like one frame links and such.

Being a newcomer in the KoF series. I like this game a lot so far. Just having a character crisis because there's too many interesting characters for "just" a 3-man team. Could wrap my head around the entire thing pretty quickly.
And that's actually where it sort of starts to bother me already, not sure how long this game can actually keep me entertained when I'm doing every character's 800 dmg bs on day 2, and that actually seems to be the case for pretty much everyone else I see picking up this game. It's not really easy but it's also not really... hard - it sorta feels like forced difficulty. I'm gonna get more fluent both with doing as well as dealing with short hop pressure and then I'll probably be like "k what now". Not sure if there's really more in KoF than that, but I'll see anyway.
On a sidenote, I lol'd at the BB comparison. You must be like some SF4 player to think of that game as execution heavy.

He's implying that he's an icecar spammer. What else?
K' and Maxima are back! My team of Clark, K' and Maxima will be a joyous one!
I really do hope Adelheid Bernstein is an unlockable.
I realllllly liked to play Rugal in 98 and 02. And of course Adelheid at XI.

But yeah, I most certainly hope he's not trying to say that BB has just as low execution as SFIV. Because if that's the case, then he needs to go play the game and actually learn how to do things.

I tried this game out today and it was really fun, even though I sucked shit at the game. The last KOF game I played was KOF94 years ago at a retro arcade.
They changed a lot of move sets, which had me doing stupid things and throwing random EX's.

Need to buy this game from an online store since no one here sells KoFXIII. :(
Hopefully I can get a chance to get it. Since I've been eyeing the game from time to time, I'd really like to try Yuri, King, and Mai. These characters were my original team back in KoF 2002, and I think I might enjoy playing them now. I also find it very interesting that the characters that I play are all part of the same team in the story-line wise. :D

That is interesting. King and Mai are some of my favorites too. Although they arent who I plan to play.

We both play Tsubaki and like those characters? Are you my twin or something? :D
Just watched a match of KoFXIII from a friend of mine. Anyone said "AGEIS REFLECTOR!" at the end of the video?
