To be honest, it was the crowd that wanted him to play Clark. That peer pressure under the Grand Finals to me felt like the reason he did surprise picks. Made the Grand Finals more interesting though.

Clark was his only random pick. Billy and Iori are characters he can play, and he picked Benimaru and Ralf because he thought he could counterpick with them. I think he should have tried starting Takuma, but the risk in that is he has no meter to do a lot of damage.

Starting with Takuma is a HORRID idea, the character NEEDS meter to operate.
Also, while Bala does frequently counterpick, he simply didn't have a solution for Duolon/Chin. He eventually started to get it though, but he pretty much lost the mental game and recovered too late. Had they played another set, Bala could have very well taken it.

Takuma first works. He can build his own meter surprisingly well. Like, he's a really strong character still just minus the touch of death.

Point Takuma gets rushed down like crazy by the majority of common points [ex. both Kyos, EX Iori, Billy, Mr. Karate, Kensou] with no real way to defend himself due to lack of defensive options or blowback. He does have a solid fireball game, but gets blown up by King/Kensou/Athena/Ash in that regard.
Honestly, if you want to put Takuma on point, you may as well be playing Mr. Karate. Has a ton of damage and options with minimal meter, and far easier execution. As a second slot, Takuma is probably the second best suited for it, behind Hwa Jai. By no means a bad character at all, but the placement is pretty important.

Found my streamed EVO match.... Not the proudest moment in my life, but I certainly look back at it and say, "goddamn it Saka, why did you practice for this game before EVO?.... :\". Still enjoyed EVO though. :D

After EVO though, been playing more and more of this game again. Started to learn Kim and Leona.
Dropped Kula for King and Athena for Kim. Still playing Yuri though, and keeping the dropped characters as back-ups.

KOF is a game of brutal rape and other crimes. That was a hot Yuri. Your job now is to go and steal all of that technology.

I've been considering this game for a good while now, what I need to know the most is if the online is any good (like Blazblue/Arcana Heart 3 good?)
