Legend of Dragoon

Didn't see a topic, so I made one myself.

Recently picked this late 90's PS1 game back up, and I gotta say, still one of the best RPG's ever made imo. Leveling Shana is a bitch though since she's outta your party for a pretty major boss battle, missing out on almot 2 levels of XP, plus all thoes Random Encounters.

Anyone else play/have played this game?

This is one of those few epic games that only a handful of people really know about. The story is pretty sweet, and the game is crazy long with fun characters. The best part is the battle system, one of those push-the-button-with-correct-timing dealies that gets harder and harder, the more advanced your attacks become. I don't enjoy it as much as the system in Shadow Hearts, but this is still alot of fun.

What's your guy's/gal's favorite teams? Mines the standard Dart, Lavitz/Albert, Rose. Though next playthrough, I think I'll main Haschel and Kongol.

Also, who actually power leveled? All the guides I read say recommend being around 31+ at my point (Divine Dragon). I'm 23/21/22 and kicking ass.

I forget who I had in my party, but I know Rose was in it. I liked watching her orgasm black ooze. Ahhh, yeah.


I always thought this game deserved more. A sequel or prequel would have been nice.

Definitely one of my favorite RPG's of all time the battle system is fun and challenging, the story is written well, and the characters are awesome.I still play this occasionally though because of it's awesomeness ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-BLAZING DYNAMO!!!

Lol, I guess I power leveled then. I completed all additions just before I go against dd. And my party is Dart, Meru, Haschel. Awesome.

I love this game. The only thing I didn't like was the part where if you went to the moon, you can't go back. I was sad. I like the battle system because it is just freakin cool. Double Slash! And the Story. Good Story. I wished they do a remake of this game or a sequel. No!, I demand it.

And lol, if you use Lavitz's path, you won't be able to go back. Not moon.

Yeah his path on disc four. I like fighting the DIVINE DRAGON! also since he was a bit of a challenge the second time before Lavitz. Harpoon! Hu! Ha! Whip Smack.

my main team was dart, albert, and rose in that game. inadvertently i didnt intend to power level, but i wanted those damn trinkets that let them automatically do their moves without having to push buttons ( i got into this mechanic with shadow hearts). since they cost so much i had to grind like crazy for money, and when i was done with it all... yeah i was level 70ish when it was around 30 in the guide. gotta say i breezed the rest of the game then but it rocked for what it was, and i wish they consider a sequel on the ps3 at some time

himm brings back memories... now I wish my copy didn't break... oh well win some lose some..

the addition system was cool... it held a lot of potential and definitely set LoD apart from the usual RPG's

my main team was Meru/Hachel or Meru/Kongol (not adding dart cause he's there by deafult)

also never bothred leveling shanna/miranda... meru outshines them in every aspect...

hah I wish they made a sequel or at least a remake with more additions especially for shanna/miranda(never used them unless they were required to fight)... I can barely imagine this on PS3 graphics... *drools*

You can get it at Amazon for only $14. That is where I got mine last year.

Now all i need is a ps2

Don't play it on a PS2. It will freeze no matter what on disc 2 right after you beat Lenus. Play it on the PS1. Works perfectly on it. Or~ you can try emulators too.
