But seriously, what 16 endings? There's only three. Four if you count the failure ending.

On that note: Someone on reddit worked their ass off analyzing the ending and believes that it was all a rush-job/afterthought. No! Really? I'd have never assumed such a thing!

Am I the only one who thinks the bigger problem than the ending is how easy this game is on insanity difficulty? I mean I thought Bioware was hyping it up to be a extremely difficult mode but, it turns out to be just as easy as normal.

is anyone else dissapointed that we never got to see those Elcor Troops we could recruit for the war effort? Wanted to see an elcor with a big-ass gatling gun and rocket launcher mowing down husks.

My thoughts about the ending

I for one don't understand why Bioware chose to have shepard 'Give his life" in the ending. I for one loath the fact that you are not even given a chance to survive by getting enough war assets or getting the galaxy ready by playing multiplayer. What pisses me off mroe is that whole I got to see shepard still being alive movie (a scene of his chest sitting there breathlessly but then all of a sudden he takes a gasp for air) they did not give any back story or narritive of what happened to the galaxy afterwards. all the synthetic life are dead but what of all the other species? since I romanced Tali I really would have liked to see how her home world progressed or how other worlds got back up. oh now I'm seeing that I can still continue my game after shepard "Dies?" What in the holy mother of goddamn butt fuck is this? goddamn Bioware. In the back of my head I'm already hoping a Mass Effect 4 comes out. theres so much more potential left in the story. although some may not agree, Life still has to rebuild, and I'm more than certain it'd be easy to come up with one last "enemy" to fight to actually get a "Happy ending"

If i remember right they said that Mass effect 3 was definitely the last Mass effect with Shepard in it, of course you may say he's dead, well he did die in the beginning of number 2 as well xD
I'm personally hoping for a choose your own species in ME4 <3

That'd be a good idea, But they'd have to make some put some serious work into what people say to you depending on what you play as, like what main characters and side character would say if you played as a quarian (because of their suits, if they included romance) or turians and how they are poisonous to humans. stuff like that. although it wouldn't hurt to continue with shepards story, because from the looks of it, he didn't actually die.

they did alright with DA, if they actually spent a little more time i reckon they could pull out some magic xD, i dont mind waiting for a game to come out as long as its good when it finally does

I wouldn't mind to wait either. I faintly remember DA. But for me a Mass effect game without Romance wouldn't be as good. The romance added A LOT more emotion to the story of Mass Effect 3. so if they did come up with something they better keep that shit in there lol, (sounds like I'm all hung up on the "romance" part of the game 030

I agree with you completely there :) i loved the romance in ME, and i personally think that they need to think of a new way to get it across, maybe something like DA, where you gave gifts to the target in general, or maybe something new altogether, whilst i liked the amount of thought they put into the romancing text in ME, it was just a tad bit...boring,
and hell when are we going to see some proper nudity, we're all old enough to understand it by now and for gods sake its been hinted at waaaay to many times xD

exactly, yea the romance lines where a little..how to say this.. obvious? it made me think that shepard thinks with his dick rather than his head. all you basicly had to do was pick the answers that where sympathetic or where in a nut shell saying "I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU" made the game kind of monotone in a way. Although whenever I played mass effect 2 I always romanced Tali cuz she's my Favorite. with her all I had to do was agree with her every word as with everybody else. if we say nudity I'm think the video game industry would explode with people Freaking out about it. Just the caressing and sudden bra view of miranda got people all freaking out.

the gaming indusrty is nothing but sexual inuendos and hints these days xD, every game has some sort of 'glitch' or 'easter egg' (dont quote me on that -.-)Hell we have games with full nudity now, whats wrong with painting it blue and giving it a few tentacles ;)

A friend sent me this vid a while ago. Thought someone here would think that it's interesting.

Basically, the guy's claiming that the ending was supposedly an indoctrination-induced dream sequence and that everything that takes place on the Citadel isn't real.



If that's the case, then that means that the REAL ending isn't in the actual game and that BioWare knowingly released an incomplete game. That makes the day 1 DLC look like a minor offense if the actual end to ME3 was set to be a part of some download. Even moreso if you had to pay for said download, which would be likely.

So after calming down and taking a step back...yeah no, the ending still sucks.

But there may be hope yet. There is a very convincing theory that

Shepard has become slightly indoctrinated from his constant exposure to the Reapers, and he never actually had a conversation with Starchild at the top of the Citadel at all. If that's the case, then the end ending is utter shit, but this indoctrination theory is a fucking goldmine of an idea. While the idea is not a new concept, I feel it's a perfect way to take the story. The way they ended the story, with Normandy stuck on that fucking planet and some pedophile grandfather telling a kid a story, is utter shit. BUT, I'm hoping and praying that BioWare intends to do something more to the ending.

I'm reminded of Fallout 3. Though that was a light slap to the face, compared to BioWare kicking us in the balls with their current ending.

Incomplete games are becoming far too coming now a days if a game is highly anticipated you can probably expect that they are going to remove part of the game as DLC I hope other game developers will keep high standards and not start to do cheap tactics do get more money out of the consumers. I think to preserve my love of gaming I might start avoiding playing games by developers that do such things because it is killing my joy of gaming.

The thing that I don't get is some of them are so in your face with it like Batman: Arkham City I was thinking about canceling my order of it but decided not to because of cat women and she is riddled through out the game as a playable character but alas she has to be downloaded. It gets to a point I start to think are they braking any of the trading standard rules.

Thats true man...its either don't buy the game when it comes out and buy it when its sold as a "complete edition" or don't buy it at all...:P

Is it just me or is the squads AI not working?

Most of the time when in combat they don't do any thing and they don't follow any of my orders.

The thing that I don't get about the game is did they really think that they did a good job because it doesn't feel special in any way and the game play feels kind of gritty and unresponsive. The game feels unfinished not just in content but in the games design it's self nothing works properly.

My biggest problem that I've had so far was Garrus' tendencry to block rockets with his face and then take a nap for the rest of the battle. Also, I've noticed that my squadmates occasionally won't fire at the enemy for a few seconds, but that doesn't happen very often.

Also, this just dawned on me...

If the whole ending was really just a hallucination/indoctrination dream, then your war assets may actually matter if/when the actual ending comes out. If you have over 5000 points in assets, Shep lives. Which is actually kinda clever if he was actually dreaming everything after Harbinger laser-faced him. It would mean that you had enough ground troops fighting back long enough so that the reapers wouldn't be able get to Shep's body and properly finish him off before he wakes up.

This is all just speculation. But it would be a neat way to turn around the war assets meaning very little at the end of the game if BioWare ever gets around to fixing the ending.


Edit: Quite possibly the best explanation as to why the ending of ME3 is bad.
