The Lord of Butts!
I actually restarted ME 1 this week (this time as female) and gonna import it to ME2 wich ill play trough as next game (but this time i have all dlcs for it) so im expecting something good from Kasumi, Liara and the old veteran guy.
Also the Firestorm and Operation Overlord) I hope that was worth its money.
And i really hope that you can use the characters from the DLCs in ME 3 then :) Kasumi looks hot >///

Sucks, but not everyone bought either/both characters. Tali and Garrus will most likely be squadmates again given their popularity.

I've heard that all your squadmates from both games gonna be avilable but I dont know that for certain...

The Alliance has the Normandy? Uh, what? Curious to know how they have the jurisdiction to take a Cerberus ship and take it apart and build it again. I'm going to guess it is part of the Uncanny Valley for plot convenience so we can have a new ship. XD

This is all from memory, so bits maybe a bits may not be right. The original Normandy was a coalition project with the Alliance and the Turians. In ME2 it's revealed that Cerberus helped fund the build with a couple of secret backers (I think). Seeming as the SR2 is basically an upgrade from the original with a similar design but with an improved interior, the Alliance probably sees the ship as rightfully "theirs" for some strange reason, as the SR2 is based off of the original SR1 plans. That's my take on it.

It seem liked it was implied that Cerberus built their own Normandy based on information and blueprints they undoubtedly got through shadow operatives.
I could be wrong though. I'm not one to delve into the mythology surrounding Mass Effect, if it was stated to the contrary in a comic book or something then I wouldn't know.

Thanks Matt.
Some of the new designs just look absolutely sick. That female soldier looks like a sick futuristic ninja. Bioware just keeps outdoing with the new designs. The enemy soldier with the gun in one hand and the electric baton on the other. So awesome. Same with Captain Anderson, who looks incredibly badass.
I just can't wait to get my hands on that game. And as for the Alliance having their hands on the Normandy, I can see that. Whether you chose the good or evil path, Shepard breaks off his relationship with Cerberus. In the impending attack, he has to side with entire civilizations instead of just groups. And since Earth is under attack, it could be very likely that Shepard gave the Normandy willingly, so that it could be studied and mass produced. Still, this game will be the epic conclusion to one of the BEST trilogies of games ever. I seriously can't wait to get my hands on it. 100% pre-order.

If Shepard asks the ship's artificial intelligence how Cerberus managed to obtain the confidential schematics for the Normandy SR-1 to build the SR-2, it is revealed that Cerberus used their substantial influence to jump-start the Alliance's decision to build the original SR-1 in the first place, and subsequently obtain the secrets of advanced turian technology that the project required for themselves.

Ah, Ashley got a nice makeover, too bad she died on Virmire.
Glad to see Garrus and Legion returning, hopefully as squadmates. If Tali's role as a squadmate is reduced to a single plot-related mission I will be alright with it, though not entirely satisfied. The horrors from the abyssal depths of the Underworld will spring forth from the Bioware social site and unleash their wrath if her role is that or lessened, however.
Good to see the Rev and Mattock making a return.

Indeed. I refrained from getting a relationship in Mass Effect just because I've heard there are certain "repercussions" if you have two different romances between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
Tali better have a bigger role. I'm not going to woo her for nothing. >.>

I romanced her as well. If Bioware does something such as: Relegate her role to what I said above, but has a superb romantic ending with her; then I shall be fine with that. I would prefer her role to be maximized as a full squadmate though.
I did the same thing in ME1 as well, navigated through the trapmances with Liara and Ashley lol.

Great article, thanks for sharing. Almost makes me want to buy magazines again.
I don't know what the fuck they've done to Ashley, but some tantalising story titbits there, and everything else is sounding and looking perfect. That's my fears of a clichéd Earth rescue quelled, and all of the flaws from ME2 are covered. And the rumoured MMO is pretty much nailed down.

But seriously, articles like these are just frustrating, since it hypes me up for a game I don't fucking have and cannot immediately get.
They fucking better give the Adept a force blast. If you've used the force gun in Dead Space, you know what I mean. The Force is just control of gravity/physics and the Adept is consistent with that concept. Singularity, throw, pull, you know, physics.
The soldier should probably have a nice laser combat knife on his/her person.
Yep, Adept fo' life.
I'm glad they didn't fuck with Garrus, the dude was always in my squad. (Sniper, assault rifle, and armor piercing? I don't see why he wouldn't be.)
Melee attacks play a larger role now, and each class has a unique close-quarters attack

weapons are no longer restricted based on class

Damn straight. I don't know if I'd be able to run it, or even want to play it, but MMOs belong on PC.
