Sounds a bit better now that BioWare has explained it a bit more.http://masseffect.bioware.com/me3/game/multiplayer
Yeas it does but, it's still pointless to add in anykind of multiplayer to the third game of an RPG series

Can't disagree with that. But I guess we'll see once it's finally there.

How is it pointless? If anything, this probably increases the game's replay value considerably, now that you can take on missions with your friends. Also, what does being the third game in a series have to do with anything? Only reason why I think ME3 got co-op is because the gameplay evolved over the course of the series, with the co-op being a part of said evolution. The games gradually got more action-oriented and the gameplay streamlined to the point that co-op multiplayer became a valid addition to the third game. It's not like they could've added co-op at any time in the series but simply decided not to. Things just kind of lead up to it, is all.

I still think EA forced this and Bioware is trying to make it good so the third game is crap. Maybe pointless was the wrong word unnecesary is a better word. My point is an RPG or an action RPG doesn't need multiplayer even if it's basic co-op.
I fear what kind of blacklash for RPG's this multiplayer function will bring.

Did you actually read BioWare's answers there? With separate studios working on single player and multiplayer parts, I don't see how this could in any way affect the quality of the single player game.
You also forget that BioWare games have had co-op multiplayer before, it was already present in the Baldur's Gate series.

This isn't the first time that an RPG incorporated a co-op mode. Hell, a lot of older RPGs allowed you to play through with friends. Two more recent examples of RPGs with great co-op are Borderlands and Dead Island. There are even people that may argue that the games are great because of the co-op. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, this is nothing new. Unexpected, maybe. But just because a game is an RPG that doesn't mean it has to be single player only. And why does it have to be EA who made it so that the third game would have co-op? Did you ever stop to think that maybe the developers just wanted to make the game even better by adding some extra replay value so that players won't drop it and move on to the next game as soon as they finish their first or second playthrough?

Call me stubborn, call me pigheaded, call me whatever but I'm not one for multiplayer. It might be good, might not so I'll reserve total judgement for when the game comes out. Also can dead Island and Boaderlands be considered true RPG's, there's not much customization in either games.

ME3 seems about as customisable as Dead Space. I think this limited co-op will add a much-needed extra dimension to an occasionally stagnant single player.

Maybe but in the last two Mass Effects their was plenty to do in sidequests and endgame decisions that multiplayer nevered crossed my mind as something the game needed.

Hey guys. Be sure to play the Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning Demo to unlock a new equipment in ME3 when the game is released. It also works in reverse, where playing the ME3 demo unlocks a set of N7 armor and omni-blades for KoA:R.

I'm not really sure. Why not just download the demo to whichever platform you plan on playing either of the games for? It is free, and you can just delete them after you're done with them.

RAGE! I had or have the CE preordered but my order isn't showing in my Game account they better not of cancelled it because they don't have enough in stock I noticed they aren't showing it for sale either. I don't want to end up ordering it twice nor do I want to buy the regular one.
I did a little search to see if this happened to any one else and it has :(
