Lagi+ armor for awaken, it also gives +Ele dmg.
I sell crystal weapons. Theyre horrible in my opinion.
My opinion or favs:
GS - High Sieglinde (P)
Lance - Sabertooth (G) or Alatreon Gleam
LS - Barbarian "Sharq" (P) (This beast also has an affinity)
Hammer - Devil's Crush (P)
SnS - Screw them, only purpose of them is to inflict status right away. Dmg wise, they suck!
Edit: Thing with Ala armor is you need a gem for each part, and a piercer for the helm (God knows how much a hunter farms for even a single one). The blightproof is not that useful if youre able to block or dodge, or have those seeds. The ala armor is also weak to almost all the Ele dmg out there except for thunder.

I have solo'd and defeated the greatest threat in Monster Hunter Tri: The Kelbi.
It was a hard fought battle, but I managed to slay the beast and had obtained it's meat as a prize for my hard fought battle. Legend has been made.

well, you can always try to combine both ala and lagi armor and gem out one of the weakness while still being able to gem in elemental attack up. ._.
the defense stat of the armor is well worth in the end anyways, compared to a maxed out lagi armor. .-.
that reminds me... I have to farm cadeus...

Lol, is it you who has something like: 'I have defeated the legendary Kelbi...' in their profile. Cuz that thing made me laugh.
Also, Kads we need to start doing Speed Runs or something.

Ah, Monster Hunter Tri. The easiest MH game in my honest opinion. Still a nice game though, utilizing the Wii's graphics and free online support.
Well, at this point of the game, HR 980 been playing since it came out with on and off months, theres nothing to really do except grind some more to get my name in red highlights instead of yellow which you get for like 969 HR's. Having all the armors and 90% of the weapons doesnt help. By all I mean I even got the Ranger and Guild armors for both low and rank sets.
Pretty sure you guys know how to grind, but Clusting Ala with Exchanger skill every now and then helps.
Name: Albel
ID: Forgotten, where is that Wii...
Armor: I usually wear Guild+ set or Bhanabra+ set
Weapon: Rising Soul, the color goes well with a sky blue pigmented armor.

Its weird, I spent all day helping some guy farm Los+ so he could make the gunner+ armor, first there were three of us, took down the first Los in under 8 mins. Then the third left. Two more guys showed up, we hunted Los for hours nonstop, we were basically the ultimate team together. Then those two left and another two took their place, we started failing hunts after that...I wonder why.

If theyre being cheap on lifepowders and traps, then surely your team will have a tough time. Then if you have a teammate that uses upswings like theres no tomorrow, that slows down the hunt. I've been in a GS run where we were all in sync down the the charge releases. Our hunt would end very quickly with minimum casualties.
-Though, in my opinion, the best group is the one who has a gunner and 3 users of the same type of weapon. Why? For example, LS users kill lancers and interrupt them like every second, lancers (noobish) tends to charge and hit a charging GS user. The gunner then has to be able to shoot para shots and have trap master. But dont rely on the gunner, for he/she can only have 4 traps at max. To successfully do a speed run cap on a monster at least 5-6 traps are need at constant placement and parashots here and there. A good Hammer that is able to stun a monster while in a pitfall trap is also very helpful.

I was using a SnS, Blood Tabar.
The third guy who was with us for the first hunt was using as GS or hammer, couldn't remember which, after the second hunt, he left.
The two who followed after for the next 5-10 Los hunts were very helpful, one with a GS, High Sieglinde (P) and the other was using a hammer, Devil's Crush (P). During all the hunts, the only mess ups were the GS user and myself rolling into the hammer's charged smash. Gunner was pulling his weight, though majority of the time the Los' kept targeting him.
Then those two left and two more took their place, a SA user and another GS/LS user. Sadly, the next three hunts ended with failure.

Question: Anyone in one of those "clans"? I'm curious since I always lol at the people who are in a clan and I always ask them questions.
0
No, but I did put one of the clans I joined from StarCraft on my female hunter's profile. I hate MH clans, its all about HR's. Ha!

Yeah, it is all about Hr. After that they "test" you to see if you got what it takes by their standards like having to solo a certain quest, have a certain custom set of armor with certain skills on it, or just ask to join.

From what I know, clans are out there so that you have people to quest with much easier. That or they use you. It will most probably the latter.
Someone help me with making the Guild armor!

It'd be nice to have people to hunt with without the need to constantly change cites.
And which Guild set? Low or High? Either way, it's arena time.

High! I need mah Barioth coins stat! Like 2 more! Then im going for Agna and Blos when they show up.

Why not solo Bari in the offline arena? Scratch that, you still gotta go through Los and Barroth for that.
I don't really play online arena though, I don't like the equips the guild gives.

Fuck Barroth! I hate that thing with a passion! I have like 13 of its coins yet very few of the others.

That reminds me, I need to finish offline's story for the last couple of quests in the offline arena.
And be low ranked or high ranked, Barroth would be the only monster who's a complete bastard to take down, it's stubborn.
