Monster Hunter Tri.

Max time Ive spent on the village was 10 hours for the quests. Then I would say around 40 hours of material farming. Then I spent around 140 hours from HR 0-51. Then another 100 hours farming the necessary materials to make a Clusting set. Then 300 - 400 hours of just plain Clusting Ala. I would try to get Exchanger if I could for extra HRP. It was pretty easy, having hunting groups make it that much easier. I once entered a room and the people there took 30 mins just to get their Clusting ready, a complete waste of time. Then 100+ hours of collecting materials for the armors. It also helps being lucky and a good speed run team. Farming for an hour or two (maybe three if my luck reverses) that takes around 4-6 mins each pretty much gives me all the materials I need from that one monster. Ive seen pics of hunters that has 999HR at 600 hours. That I think is the one hit kill hack.

Armor overforging is a time saver!!!

LOL. Usually a three person Jho set with AUL using an Ala-Gleam on any monster with a gunner takes down any monster fast... Cept Ala.

And a big ass high ranked Ura in under 15mins(?) with 3 people, well technically 2.

I was using Fang Hammer "Echo", the person who was fighting the Ura with me was using a Berserker Sword or one of it's upgrades, and the third was planning on gunning it, but that part failed badly.

The GS user was quite happy that I kept smashing the Ura's chin, giving him plenty of time to use a lot of charge swings.

Here I thought the Barroth was the most annoying and stubborn monster both offline and online, that is, until I took The Death of Sky and Sea offline quest. I've never met a more stubborn and annoying Lagi the whole time I've played MH3.

Why is it that i always have hard time farmimg rare stuff? I was only able to get 2 skypiercer and 1 gem from god alatreon a squat from cadeus. It's like i have bad luck skill everytime. ;A;

I guess some days you get lucky and some days you don't.

I've farmed Agna+ for 2 days already to get some +claws to forge the +arm armor. I only got 1 +claw out of all of that.

Try farming with the Jaggi Mask next time.

Also, any tips for Ala? Took on the 5* urgent twice and failed it.

-Attack, attack, attack.
-Clust Team (If done right, you can do this in less than 3 minutes.)
-Sleep Bomb

1)I did and shit goes wrong when you're too close.
2)I've never heard of Clusting until a few days ago, sadly the people who joined don't clust.
3)What? Bring a weap that inflicts sleep and bomb it's ass?

If you're the only one trying to make it sleep with the sleep SNS, it'll be pretty hard after 2-3 times. If there's at least 2 people using sleep weapons then it'll be pretty easy. When it sleeps, place bombs (Recommends L+, and materials that makes L+) on head. Make it go boom. Repeat process until both his horns break since it'll weaken Ala immensely and it will no longer be able to fly. Do the same to the wings if you guys want. I recommend going for the head first.

4 Clusters can kill Ala in 2-4 minutes or less. Other methods can also do it lower if you have a very good team.

I was thinking about lancing it with the Sabertooth and hope that brute force brings it down. But after reading your tips, I need to put more thought into this.

Edit: Dunno about ice. They say it's one of Ala's biggest weakness, but that only applies when he's flying, right? I think that's what people said. Either way, I still rather use dragon, but nowadays whenever I do play... I clust or regularly gun with Pierce, Dragon S, etc.

Ice = ground

Dragon = Flying

Clust spamming works, also, try equipping yourself with a talisman with dragon resistance. it helps I'm telling ya. Bring LOTS of flash bomb, it saves time.

I got an Azure Dragongem today, I'm just 1 skypiercer short from making Alatreon revolution or Dark Claw Demise

Only ice weapons I have are the Icicle Spike+ and the Sabertooth(G). I could farm Bari+ (again) for parts to upgrade my Spike, or forged the rest of the Agna+ armor for my lance.

And for dragon weapons, Jhen SnS and LS.

I also lack a clust set since I don't use guns outside of the offline arena.

I could try Kads' idea of sleeping it and bombing it's head.

if you wanna go for sleep bombing, use Urugaan+, it's worth the trouble when making it, but if you have the patience, farm Dober, just gem in bombardier and you're good.
For the Urugaan+ I'd recommned gemming in Dragon+ 15 ( provided you have a talisman with dragon resistance) then either make Amber Frosthoar or Azure Crest/Morpheus Knife.

I've never forged Ura armor, but I assume it has the bombardier skill.

As for Dober, Felyne Explorer isn't on the list most of the time so it's gonna be annoying, got lucky and started up in the sectet area once, got 3-4 relics out of it.

I also have both Sleep SnS and Lance, just wanna upgrade them for the boost in Atk, Status, and Sharpness.

Well, what you can do is keep on doing giginox quest until you end up with explorer. Once you do, and got all the relics you can, die 3 times then repeat the process. I forgot, dober is weak against fire so you might wanna gem in fire resistance instead.

Get Explorer. Fight Jho (die 3 times). Repeat process, profit.

No equips. Makes dying much faster. But what Im doing right now is get the -Absolute Zero- title, so Im getting explorer while hunting Baris+.
