Not many of you may care, but the Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes are official!

Anyone else relieved that they announced it finally?
(NOTE: If these go over badly, its over for pokemon forever.)

My favorite version of pokemon is being remade. Awesome.

However, I do not wish to have to fight that ugly thing known as a Feraligatr with my beautiful fiery upright ferret.

Not true. Pokemon Platinum was quite the success. So was Diamond and Pearl, which had the best opening week for any Pokemon game ever. The merchandise isn't failing a bit.

lol. You're joking, right? There's no way that will happen. If anything this should have happened with D/Pe/Pl since Nintendo went overkill on the Pokemon mythos and most everyone is quick to hate on the new Pokemon designs in it.

Anyway, I'm not sure which version I'll be getting since I've already gotten most of the Johto Pokemon via Colloseum and XD.

ugh. while they're at it, why don't just announce crystal remake too? i know it's gonna happen....or curse nintendo.

and yeah the myths of pokemon in platinum is way over the top.

Not necessarily. There was only the one pair of 1st generation remakes as well. Although I'd definitely like to see Crystal too.

Now I have to pick which one I want. :( I played silver back in the day, but the internal battery is dead, so it doesn't hold save games anymore. ;_;

Oh, and one last thing.

RAWR YES! FUCK YES! I HAVE WAITED FOR A REMAKE OF THIS FOREVER!!! Gold/Silv is the best game EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! This will definitely also allow for a continuation in the Pokemon Special manga series going back to the old characters! YES! Though the starters look the best but they really are competitively good. And I guess i could get another Ho-oh and Lugia into my Platinum.

OMG! I Cant wait! I grew up with pokemon and it would be nice to play this again.
I had my grandad pick me up pokemon gold when he went to japan so i had to use a translator book to get through the game haha (atleast i had it before most of the other kids, keep in mind this was before ebay and other means of importing games was so easy accessible).

It's awesome, your starter follows you around at all times now.

Too bad that's all the remakes they can make. Unless they remake Yellow and Crystal or 3rd Gen pkmn games.

well, i'm okay with not remaking yellow....i mean, getting all of three starters? that's cheap. but not remaking crystal is not nice...that's the best pokemon game i played.
