Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver

I'm really looking forward to these games. It's going to be the first time in forever that I'll actually go out and pre-order something. The graphics are looking really nice and I can't wait to play with Typhlosion and Feraligatr again.

YAY!!! i remember pokemon gold when i was 9.it was hard to complete because it's spanish! like it was so WATER GUN= PISTOLA AGUA in spanish
TIME TO USE FERALIGATR AGAIN!
I agree. Feraligatr is going to be a beast this time around, because of the fact that they now have ice punch and such to be affected by physical stats. That and crunch will be wicked.

The time is nearing, and the question now looms:
Import or Localization?
I'll wait for localization.

Yeah I'll just wait for the localization too. Getting it early is nice but I'd prefer to be able to follow everything that is going on.

Here's a collection of two recently released trailers that someone on youtube kindly put together.

Looks so awesome =D. Too bad I always give up during the IV/EV phase and just shoddy instead. T.TMeh, only way I play. It feels like I'm actually working if I give a thought to IVs, EVs, etc... Worrying about my moveset is enough of a hassle without having to turn Pokemon into Calculus. <.<

I want the game mostly for replay and the awesome minigames, reminds me of the good old pokemon stadium mini game days. The mini games look pretty fun.

I never bother doing the EV thing - Protein, Calcium, all of those things exist so you can be lazy and not waste your time. Besides, strength and fancy stats isn't what matters - I win using the Pokemon that I like. I caught a shiny Pikachu (Yes, CAUGHT, not hacked) that I named "Sparkles." You know, 'cause he sparkles when he's sent out. He can only take a hit or two, but he's mah Pika and I'd never give up on him.
On topic though, I cannot freaking WAIT for this. I had Silver back when G&S first came out, so I plan on getting Soul this time around, of course starting with Totodile like I did in Silver.
The thing about any Pokemon being able to follow you is also awesome - It's like they were too lazy to remake Yellow and just tossed that in to kill two birds with one stone.
I pre-ordered Platinum for the Giratina figure (which was a lot smaller than I expected,) so I plan on pre-ordering this too. I really hope America gets the Poke Walker thing, but I kind of doubt we will. That, or Nintendo will sell it separately. I had both Pokemon Pikachu and Pokemon Pikachu GS (which is what this walker basically IS, but it doesn't have to be Pikachu,) except this time it'll be useful what with walking giving EXP.

And the main point is to make a well bred pokemon with good EVs and IVs to own other pokemon with a single attack pretty much. No matter how much spirit you got for your pikachu the game calculator does not calculate that in and your pikachu will die with a single attack all based on the inside numbers.

EVs are easy since theres tons of stuff to multiply them...
IVs are retarded though, too time consuming to do all that breeding.

I don't know. All of that really seems to take the fun out of it, for me that is.

I agree. I just check the natures of my pokemon, but I don't like all of the ev/iv training. It's really just a hassle.

Yeah it is, but when I hear people bragging about being so badass for EV Training (not here, various other forums,) it gets kind of fucking annoying. Play the game and enjoy it. It's Pokemon, not fucking math.

People who are serious about IV/EV training enjoy it and mostly do this for actual tournament play for big cash prizes.

I kind of doubt that. There are thousands upon thousands of people who play like that. I don't believe that even a majority of them are in competitive play as anything more than for pure entertainment.
