Any chance that Pokemon will go on PC and other gaming consoles, allow the player to explore all of the regions, fight with all of the gym leaders, allow for online interaction and throw in a dating simuation mechanism for kicks?
I would love to see a Pokemon game that does that!
I have some gripes about the game which may be really just a problem with how I play the game.
The Pokemon that I can get to use are very limited at the beginning. Towards the end, when I can get to catch more powerful and more interesting Pokemon, I feel reluctant to do so because of the time I have spent raising the Pokemon I have caught near the beginning of the game.
Would really love to have more Pokemon to catch and play around with before I challenge the First Gym Leader.

Mass Effect 3 has done something like that and I desperately need to laugh at 12 year olds attempting to engage in romance. BW2 has Yancy and Curtis so the precedent is unfortunately there.

If they want their games to be played by more people, surely they should create games compatible with more consoles!

Well the Wii U has the potential to run a pokemon mmo.
I don't like MMO's though for varies reasons, and although it is possible to make a pokemon one(and profitable, temporarily), I don't see a reason to do so. Online battling and other services more than make up for it.

The new clip of the fighting pokemon game, looks like to be made for the WiiU, but I think it's just going to be similar to how the Colosseum games work.

Looks like you didn't even bother to read the article. As much as I want them to make games for other consoles, but that decision is very short term, which means the WiiU is not getting any help in it's sales. They want to sell more WiiUs not just rakin' some quick buck.
There's only 2 options for nintendo:
1) Keep the exclusivity by making more Console selling software (ex:Pokemon/Mario/Zelda/Metroid)
2) Stop making consoles and become a software developer only like SEGA.

I do apologise for not reading the article. I thought it was already summarised very well by you in that previous post. Thank you for summarising it again for me.
I still don't buy that argument though. That strategy will unravel if the popular games exclusive to these consoles cease to be good. Console exclusivity would limit exposure to the potentially good games they may be creating. I don't think everyone has their consoles but almost everyone has a PC or a phone.
If they want to sell more consoles, then their consoles must cater for more games. If they want to sell more games, then their games must cater for more consoles. Even better, do both! I really doubt if one can whittle their options down to the two that you have listed.

I really doubt if one can whittle their options down to the two that you have listed. That's an oxymoron logic Especially for Nintendo's case since they are a console maker. First and foremost they're console makers. They are not EA, Ubisoft, or Activision. Software makers main goal is like you said to get their games to as many buyers as they can, the logical marketing 101 is make multi platform games. But Nintendo also makes consoles besides making games, and that's why they need exclusives. Once they don't have any exclusives for their console the reason to buy that console will cease to exist. Nintendo's main revenue comes from the console sales not the games.
If Pokemon was also released for the VITA, the market is then split into 2 consoles. It's right that Pokemon will sell more, but it will not help the sales of the 3DS at all because of the existence of a substitution console.
The problem with Nintendo's WiiU right now is just they aren't releasing many 1st party games that is also a console killer. In result, sales are low, and 3rd party developers avoids developing games for it because they lack the confidence caused by the low console sales.
Though they're 3DS is starting to sell well because of consistent release of exclusive console sellers with Fire Emblem Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 ultimate, Monster Hunter 4, and then Pokemon X&Y and Zelda: Link between two worlds.

I want to play this particular installment in the series, cause the new stuff looks pretty damn cool and the fire started is cool again. I never liked the pig in Black and White so I had to branch off from my previous habit of always picking the fire starter. It's really too bad I don't have a 3DS right now. I guess I'll have to get one at some point before or after this game is released. Both front cover legendaries look pretty sweet, but I really gotta say I like Yveltal the most since it's like a corrupted avian type monster.

I wonder if this bank system is free and whether it will be safe from PokeSav or else it's purpose would be defeated.

Serebii lists some interesting as of yet unconfirmed information. I'm quite happy to see two things I was very much hoping for - Fairy type becoming the first type to be able to hit the silly Ghost/Dark combination super effectively, and being weak to Poison, making that type a bit more useful, having only been super effective against Grass so far.
And confirmed now, new full type chart by Serebii here, more information about various Pokémon, including starter evolutions on the site.

That was a pretty big leak by cocoro.
The leaks were:
Mewtwo getting two Megaforms, Chespin's evolution looks dumb while froakie's looks cool and Fenekin turns into a magical girl, Garchomp is still a rape train, we have a white doggy, a rock dragon t-rex and a ice-rock dino with a neat ability.

god fennekin and chespin look so stupid. froakie looks cool so far. mega garchomp makes me think garchomp fucked a scyther. which is freaking awesome. the cats are pretty cool though i prefer the male. from their appearance i thought they'd be dark instead of psychic. and the lion looks like it joined a circus XD. the dog just looks like a absol in need of a haircut.

Oh boy, another one of you people. Listen, Nintendo makes games for Nintendo platforms. They absolutely refuse to release those franchises on other platforms and even if they do fail they are likely to drag down all of the franchises with them to their graves. I personally think if you are interested in their games, you should get their platforms. I mean they aren't bad, the 3DS in this case is absolutely amazing from personal experience with it and the games it has. Although other people seem to agree that this is the case. I am honestly tired of people asking for games that are exclusive to become multiplat for your own convenience. It would be as silly as saying Uncharted should be on all systems because they would sell more than they already do.
It isn't really a silly decision to keep it exclusive to a console, however your decision not to enjoy a good game you may be interested in because it isn't available on all platforms is a bit silly.
That said I am of the view that a Pokemon MMO is a very very slippery slope in terms of game quality. Speaking from one of my favorite franchises of late, Monster Hunter, the Frontier MMO series of games have been really bad representations of the game. Instead of being reasonable fight this monster a few times and get the armor set or weapon you want, it becomes a grind fest much like most MMOs where reaching the end game content is as hard as it possibly could be. The way this could go wrong in pokemon is that breeding for the correct natures and good IV's would have an extremely low chance at happening(lower than now) and EV training would be much much slower.
On the less competitive side, games that have a story like Black and White or X and Y won't be able to be made since an MMO, while awesome for a bit, will eventually lose it's value. Most MMOs suffer from this, you play it for a while because it is awesome and you are playing with friends. But then you quit because you either reached as end game as you can without grinding out stupidly difficult things to get, or all your friends quit. The lack of being able to update the game sufficiently in story and being pretty much forced to go the Free to play model since subscriptions are outdated will make the game lose a ton of fun. Microtransaction TMs would be terrible.
Also, even though there are plenty of adult pokemon fans how are the new pokemon fans (read: young kids) going to get into an MMO? They likely don't have their own computer, and that is a bit expensive to be giving to a kid who won't know how to use it.
