Sengoku Rance

You just need to wait patiently for Houjo to come back.
And about before? Sorry, I thought you used your SP to recruit some nameless wtfs. If it's those Zeth commanders then yeah, they are definitely worth the money.

Out of the 6 Reinforcement captains, the Zeths ones I get earlier.
Rizna is pretty good, expensive to recruit more for her but generally worth it. Dont know what stat affects her Fire Blast attack(Offense or Intelligence?).
Uruza is a great captain, and very useful as the arent as many second rank captains, but amassing people like her Tourin Sanada, Natori, Ai Naoe, and some others is great.
Magic, the princess is better than Rizna in terms of damage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
For the Leazus I take them second.
Hanami(the only one I can get before Demon Army) is a moderate Ninja unit, nothing really special(weaker than Suzume).
Maria and Leila I cant get yet Until I capture Morocco(which is taking a long time.
Maria is think is supposed to be some kind of super musketeer(cannoneer), and Leila is a super Swordsmen(Knight) unit.
I am still waiting for Soun Hojo to appear 20 turns later, and now Im trying to get Suzaku to kill a generic captain. I wonder if the fact that I saved Soun before finding Kouhime and attacking Honnoji is doing it
I also have to watch out for the units of Infected that cause Permanent damage to my units. They can financially ruin me when they can costs 10-50000 gold in damage each turn, but the AI sometimes is stupid and puts them in the back row.

Well Now I need to find out how to free Sill from Ice. I think it may be some dungeon, but dont know.

Are you playing historical route? in that case, you cannot do kenshin/ran/isorku's paths. I believe houju shon guy for ran will never appear again in historical route, I cannot remember meh.
As for the infected. I remember that avoiding them is pretty fairly easy basically, if they attack, and you can avoid being hit by them in a battle, engage the army. But if you can't avoid being hit, let the enemy win the battle. That's what I did, I didn't lose a whole unit to infected on my first play through most they did was reduce my troop strength overall in numbers and lockdown a unit for a turn or two and then it's usable again. meh, only played historical route once. >.>
As for Takeda's charge if you really want to handle it, You'll need at minimum of four footmen if you're crazy like I am. You must have at least one footmen available for the cavalry charge but, footmen is optional but nice to have against the assassin/tactican super general. And to really give the takeda a middle finger, bring along a commander who can remove buffs xD

I dunno why, but I almost never had problems during this game, so most of your frustrations is not what I could understand. Sure, the first playthrough is always the worst, I repeated three times myself to get a good grip of the game, but it wasn't hard. Probably a lot more comfortable than BBA, but once you know the mechanics it's cake.
Hanami sucks. She deserves to be humiliated on stage for her imba nubness as a ninja. Rizna is fine, but she takes too long to attack. Almost guaranteed maximum two attacks per battle. I don't think I ever got to Magic because I was busy collecting other scenes, eventually forgotten about the princess.
Leila was disappointment, H-wise. I sure as hell do not want to see Rance getting fucked by a woman, I mean he bloody hell deserves it but as a man I do not want to see that. The other one was meh, I would've liked something more normal...

Its mainly Time. If I had time I could do events to raise affection and therefore stats, raise the size of my units, etc. and Be able to more easily able to conquer certain houses. An example is the Takuga and Mori House, I attacked them after honnoji, very quickly after takeda(which I beat in turns) but didnt have enough to fight their unique characters, as they were all in 3000 sized units to mine which were about 750-1000, with a mix of elite and just strong characters. I lost access to Motonari Mori and Chinu, his daughter because of that.
In many "growth" type games taking time out and growing your characters with better stats in a huge part, but Sengoku Rance requires rushing through the first half or else you completely lose all the strong units you need for the mid-late game.
Certain events happen randomly but WILL happen on certain turns no matter what I do(like Suzaku appearing one turn before Soun appears).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At present I have only 3 territories left to the demon Army, one of which only has 1 sub territory left(Amazon) but the enemy has about 12000 monster units there. so I cant outpace them for damage or use Tacticians 'lower battle points' to push through for a win.
I'm also fighting the One-Eyed House and have caught 3 of the unique generals(Orime, Noir, and Nogiku) but cant take that last subterritory because Masamune can kill my rance in 2 hits in the character battle after the regular one.
I really hope that my second game(if I ever get past these super defense hurdles) that I get some bonuses to make subsequent games easier, mainly excellent Monks, especially with Guard Cancel or Diviners.

Leila is giving Rance a hand job.
Pay closer attention next time!
And plus, Her scenes was probably due to when Rance already met her in previous rance eroges.

lol that scene was hilarious
uruza and leila are top tier, the other reinforce commanders are trash. Leila has that royal knight charge attack that does 2x damage to target if the target has more troops (which is everybody by the time you get her). and also she has special knight units which has good attack and defense and only cost 1g to heal. also like uruza, she's a good dungeon commander as well.

Uh well, Magicians do pretty good damage when you increase their troop size enough.
In fact they can punch through those takeda super generals with their buffs up easily. Magicians and Cannoners are only unit types that I know can harm the takeda super generals good with their buffs up. Anything else they're overkill against.
But, Haniwas is immune to magicians, so remember that xD They're also immune to shikigamis from those uh paper doll magicians. They still can have walls set up on haniwas tho.

Oh I know Honeys/Hannys are immune.
But Diviners, Mikos, and Monks are rare. Natori is the only strong Miko I can get in first play, for Diviners only Omachi(who Im trying to get Masamune for) and Soun Hojo are the only 2, and for monks only Seikan(who I cant get because Tenshi sect makes war so early), and a "special" captain Himiko are any good.
Because of all the dungeoning I have done to beat Masamune I also get much stronger to fight Xavier, who I beat earlier without the leveling, but had to redo it it 3 times so he was level 68, and lost 12 points because of it.
Now I just need to clear any characters, and gather treasure items, and finish the game in a good state.
The only two questions I have are A, is it possible to unfreeze Sill, and B, is it possible to capture Agireda in first game, because I cant get her no matter how many tims I Beat her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the story and Rance is somewhat compelling for a rapist Anti-Hero, but it would just be easier if you "create" your own generic commanders and more easily upgrade characters.

I absolutely understood that she was giving him a handjob.
However, that wasn't what he wanted was it?
So it equals to Leila raping Rance in a way, since it's a sexual act and all. I wouldn't have called it that if Rance got to fuck her.
EDIT: And er, check AliceSoft wiki. They have all the answers you need.

Yes you can get Agireda in Historical route I believe. When you manage to get her, go run around in shimazu proviences 1-3 of them will give her like 1k soldiers per recruitment from each amazon village xD I think I had her at like 3k or 4k size i forgot, she was my first biggest unit ever.
And to lvl rance up the quick way, u should have alot of jailed commanders with sucky stats, release them and get that peekie thingie items that give one level up per item. u get one for each three commanders freed or more. I average at 10-20 per playthroughs depening on how much I play for xD so its possible to get rance up to lvl 70 in a quick go.
About agireda again, I forgot the conditions to recruit her so check the http://alicesoft.wikia.com/wiki/Sengoku_Rance:Walkthrough
out.
meh, looked it up for ya.
Agireda can be captured in battle in the True History and Isoroku IF routes, but she can only be character cleared in the True History. In the true history route it is possible to increase her troops by 1000 for each of the 2 colorless events found in the Demon Army territories. (unconfirmed if this is possible in Isoroku route, don't remember exactly which 2 territories)
yeah, exactly as I remembered xD U gotta grab her in a battle.
And no, you only can unfreeze Sill in Sengoku Rance 8th i believe, this thread is about sengoku rance 7th.

So Im just having REALLY bad luck when trying for Agireda, its hard to beat her early on and later when I can she is never captured while it takes several turns for her to attack again. I know about the Happy Pokky from Prisoner release(used them for 10 levels), as most of the prisoners are terrible.
Is it possible to have more than 5 starting bonus points after first game clear? I want to get the "kill the monkey" bonus I can capture the characters I missed(and avoid the demon-army rush).
a Question for more experienced players. If I get anything with second game bonuses, are they persistent(as in carry from game to game) or one-time bonuses just for that game?

Persistent, well for the campaign you picked them in anyways, if you start new campaign, you have to repick bonuses if you want them again.

going the Ran route is pretty much the same as kill the monkey because there's no pressure from the demon army and you can drag it out as long as you want.

If its a one time cost then it doesnt seem possible to use much with only a few points for each time you beat the game.

it's not one time use. and it can only increase if you finish with more points then you have before.
and points are not that hard to come by if you play on the higher difficulties. generally you'll end with 150 or so points if you play on the hardest mode. 200+ if you really try.

Wow, Ive been in my second game for a while but aside from doing a different route(Ran Hanjo route) I still have to do alot of things I did in the first game. I have to skip the Takeda generals, as I just dont have enough to beat them without capturing the shimazu, one-eyed, and/or Mori. I also had to skip the Mori as they were captured before I could beat them(and I cant capture any of them without specific events or conquering them, so they are uncaptureable in my 2nd game).
I think I actually did better in the True History route, because I beat the Mori(but couldnt uncurse Motonari) and captured 2 of the sisters.
Honestly I REAALLY would have like to have just buy a house or two in terms of characters so I could attack more, or handle the Takeda, or Mori houses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cant get Takeda generals without more and better captains to block the blitz(as well as waiting for it to happen)
Cant beat Mori in Ran route, for same reason as Takeda, replacing general blitz with time limit(absorbed by Shimazu, preventing Motonari from being acquired) as you have to wait and unknown amount of time for Motonari to challenge you(havent had it in first or second game)
Cant get Shimazus, because there isnt a way to get 50 search from only 5 captains.
All I have left is the One-eyed house, Iga, and final boss(plus the buildup by doing every dungeon). I dont even know if that will be possible without all the strong captains I need for the final dungeon/boss.
