Real skill is needed to play any character. It's not like you just pick somebody, BS around and win. =|

PS3. I'd own a 360 too, but the RROD and the fee for Live instantly kill my thoughts on getting it every time. :(

XBox doesn't RoD anymore. They've fixed that long ago. Unless you're going to buy a used one... Why would you do that anyway?

And well... You get what you pay for. I like Live a lot better than PSN.

I heard that was still a pretty big problem. Then again, half my friends are all fanboys of one thing or another.

I wouldn't know what Live is like, but PSN is alright. Like you said, you get what you pay for, and since it's free I don't have a problem with it. Plus the pad for the 360 is horrible for fighting games, and I can't be bothered to burn another $100+ on an arcade stick when I already have one.

Anyways, back on topic...I'm guessing there are mostly non-shoto players here?

i think GG picks Ryu on occasion but that's it. dunno about the psn players.

I can play Ryu and Ken a little bit. I use Balrog and Guile mostly though... =< I fail.

I mostly play Juri now days, little bit of Ryu when im in a pinch but otherwise im just not very good lol. Total accomplishment when I finish the game on normal difficulty and I dont even dare go online, ive got enough pain playing other games. Plus I was pulled in to buying Street Fighter 4, rented SUPER street fighter 4 since I know the exact second I buy it they will release SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 TURBO!

Yeah, I just picked up Ibuki like a day or two before that match so I'm not good with her at all yet.
I'm decent with Ryu and Dee Jay though.

Anyway way you should get an xbox, so you can play with all of us in and endless battle. Hopefully I can actually use and utilize Ibuki by then.

Off topic: After Kawiian punch reminded me that the game runs 60 frames per second, I realized why when I tried to record videos, it started skipping, was because I had it set to default of 30 frames per second on the recorder lolololol.

Ono already said that this was the last version of SFIV and any modifications are going to be done in patches anyways.

Besides that, SSFIV isn't even a full price game... Would paying $30 (Yes, 30. Amazon FTW.) for a game you got a year of enjoyment out of be so bad?

I've mostly play Juri against my younger brother when he chooses other female characters. When he uses someone from SF4 I usually use Ryu...His Dudley rapes my Ryu horribly though. Oh, and I'm pretty decent with Ibuki, although I usually end up, unconsciously, throwing Kuni spam.



FADC into Metsu hadoken with Ryu kills me every single time. Even on the pad, I either do it too fast or dash twice.

I think that was one of the easier trails, I might be wrong since I haven't completed the last half of his trails. Do you have trouble with the timing, or do you throw something else other then Bad End Irony out at the end? The timing for some of the trails are tricky as hell sometimes too.

Its either fadc criminal upper into dead end irony, or the early frames of criminal upper are super cancellable. I forgot.

I can cancel the Fierce into criminal upper, can't land dead end irony.

Also, doing Rufus trials right now, I'm liking him a lot. Target combo into Spectacle romance, I like I like. Think I found my back-up main.

I think the early frames are super cancellable, since if it was fadc it would put it in as a requirement in the trail.

Okay you got it. Rufus is pretty good, the fact he can connect his first Ultra into almost anything makes him real dangerous.

And his speed. And amage. Ex snakestrike. Stun. Divekick. EX messiah. Two good ultras. Etc.

Rufus is the best in the game for a reason. Doesn't help that he got tools to deal with his bad matchups and that other characters got nerfed.
