holy crap o_ostill kinda irks me that Flynn isn't permanent...(or is he?)
maybe he just leaves at the end or something
*shrug*
but for now, let's just agree on one thing:
Raven/Swan/Bird-Man = epic win.
>:]
Indeed. Agreed to the nth degree.
By the way, here's a video of the second Flynn fight, with sexy music.
I love the music playing before they fight, and during the fight(sexy ass drum rolls)

Oh yes baby. It's part 121 and the playthrough has officially ended on part 125.
MMmmm, now I wanna those cameo characters.
Here's a quote from a different website.
We already has Dhaos confirmed by a magazine article, but this cast list (courtesy the spoiler thread in the TSF) suggests who the others may be.
Take this with a grain of salt until we have actual confirmation.
Barbatos': Norio Wakamoto
Dhaos: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Shizel: Kazue Ikura
Kratos: Fumihiko Tachiki
Their names weren't actually listed, but the writing next to each seiyuu suggest that those are, indeed the cameos.
Apparently in the credits they're listed as:
「英雄を殺ã‚ã—者〠若本è¦å¤« "He Who Kills Heroes" Norio Wakamoto
「時を駆ã‘る男〠森å·æ™ºä¹‹ "He who travels time" Morikawa Toshiyuki
「天上ã«å逆ã›ã—騎士〠立木文彦 "Knight who rebels against Heaven" Tachiki Fumihiko
「哀ã—ãé—‡ã®å¥³çŽ‹ã€ ä¼Šå€‰ä¸€æµ "Mournful queen of darkness" Ikura Kazue
Time to kick Kratos' ass when he shows up.
Kratos is back!??! hahaha
I'm ticked that Flynn's only playable for 1-2 battles though...
would've been nice if you could've kept him.
graaaaaagh

Actually, I heard a rumor that there is a side quest to permenantly get Flynn on your team, though I'm not sure if it's true :/

it'd be awesome if he could join permanently though...really hope so >_<

Well it's out now, for like a month. Got it the other day, and personally I like it :D .
There are some pretty decent in game, action scenes that are much better then they used to be. The story's pretty predictable though, but I knew that going into it. One thing though, Flynn is almost exactly like Suzaku from Code Geass. From being a obedient lab-dog knight, to being old friends of the protagonist, to wanting to change a political system from the inside, to being involved with an innocent, pink haired princess. Its 100% Suzaku and i want to hit him.

I actually noticed that too. I'm not the only one! :)

Whew, about time! I don't know if anyone else bought the Special Edition, but people are finally getting their bonus CDs! Mine finally came today. Its Volume 2 and Volume 3 of the Tales 10th Anniversary Soundtrack. I don't understand how it could take so long to get that out to people. -_-

The PAL Version of this game doesn't come out in my country until 16th July. So ive got a little while to wait..

Oh, by the way, for the people looking forward to the PS3 version (if it gets localized).
Spoiler:

Indigation extension? Aww, that's awesome. They could at least give us that as DLC. XD
I don't know why, but this time I have my doubts this will be localized. I know Eternal Sonata was, but it seems like Microsoft will have struck some kind of deal with Namco Bandai. I just can't believe that Namco Bandai would completely betray Microsoft like that. I understand that Namco Bandai wants money like everyone else, but to completely turn around and destroy Microsoft in Japan like that... they are nuts to piss them off.

As far as I see it, there are some factors in localizing the PS3 version:
Reasons it may not be localized:
- If Microsoft claimed a handle on the game, then no way localization will happen. Also, just because it was 360 exclusive at first doesn't mean that Microsoft has a handle on it. Just clearing that up. No announcement was made regarding the handle Microsoft has on Tales of Vesperia.
- Bamco believes it won't make money by localizing.
- Sony doesn't want the game to be localized for whatever reason.
Things supporting the localization:
- Tales of Vesperia had decent sales in NA.
- Tales of VS has been trademarked in NA. Tales of VS has links to ToV PS3 due to unlockables.

The only thing that bothers me is how Sony always manages to edge up that way. I mean it's good for them, but it still pisses me off a fair bit. "Oh fine, we'll wait, we'll just get the best version every time by waiting a year." That just sucks. XD
I don't know. They just really worked at marketing Vesperia and Dawn of the New World for the Tenth Anniversary in the United States. It seems like Microsoft would want to take that advantage to prevent any other version of Tales of Vesperia being released in the United States.
Of course most of us have this antagonistic view of Microsoft, but they care just as much about their reputation as the next guy. Namco Bandai made them liars, and they aren't going to stand idly by with that. There was either a hidden deal to begin with, or Microsoft will force their hand now to keep Vesperia a 360 exclusive in the U.S.

"Oh fine, we'll wait, we'll just get the best version every time by waiting a year." Well, nowadays, exclusive to any system generally means "exclusive for a limited time only".
Edit: Unless it's for the Wii and uses motion sensors.

Hehe very true. I do wish exclusives didn't exist, but then that would just give way to what's happening now, the whole let's make sure to one-up our competition. I'm just too idealist, but I hate exclusives. It does help to breed healthy competition, but also some not so-healthy results (i.e. fanboyism.)

It's coming out for the PS3 eh? I'm half tempted to just sell my 360 and get the PS3 version of all the games I wanted for it. >.>

In Japan anyway, no news of an international release.Gotta keep hope alive though. I just don't feel right playing a JRPG on my 360.

Selfish of me I know, but I hope it doesn't because I don't want to have to buy a PS3 and another version of a game I already own. Hey, at least I'm being honest. XD

I just can't believe that Namco Bandai would completely betray Microsoft like that."Betray Microsoft"? Let's not blow things out of proportion here. Did Namco-Bandai ever make a deal to make Vesperia a permanent exclusive on the 360? I don't remember hearing about that. Is there an article you can give me the link to if that's the case?

If anything, it's Microsoft's own fault that they can't even sell a million 360s there.

For instance the European and not NA release of Tales of Eternia I think it was. I might be wrong but I know they got one that we didn't. Japanese only is one thing, but Europe too? >.<Also>.<
