I love sports games. That's a dumb reason for hating sports game though. I obviously can't hit a 100km/h ball, so I can't go play outside.

No Metroid is the biggest reason that list fails. Not even Halo at n.1 was bad enough to kill the credibity of the list.

No, what I mean by that is that we have a much greater variety of games that we can accept as playable. While some Americans just don't like anime at all, they won't go near games with that kind of art style, no matter how fun it seems. So yeah. :|

Halo was basically just an average FPS with a good marketing behind it.
The 'story' was a joke and I feel it added absolutely nothing to the table of the FPS genre in its entirety whatsoever.

I cannot help but laugh when seeing Halo ( which in my opinion, just average FPS ) as number one .... and saying the Best is just too subjective .. every people have their best ..
