Yeah, one unknown title's problem with the dvd's storage-space is gonna be teh doom for 360, i bet the developers is gonna cancel all their tripple-A titles that's comming to the 360 now :P

I'm really a hardcore nintendo man, I've owned every system they've released since the N64. however some of the recent moves with the wii have shaken my confidence. if more 3rd party developers don't start picking up the wii I may have to break down and buy a 360.
oh and for a present update the PS3 and the 360 are tied for the lead with 8 votes. the Wii's bringing up 3rd with 7 votes. and PC has managed to gain one vote and is trailing with 3

The Mario, Zelda & Metroid series alone are worth buying the console for, those series never let you down.

That's true, they don't. But it seems like nintendo itself has no interest in making new games for the wii (at least none for gamers who play more than once a week) and third party developers never seem to get the motion-sensitive idea of the wiimote into their games. Hell, even smash bros only used the buttons for its control schemes. The sad but true fact is that by all appearances the nintendo corporation has left for greener pastures and unless more third party developers start EXPERIMENTING with the wii, the system is as good as dead.
P.S. people keep complaining about the the Wii's low power, I would be more than happy to deal with RE4 level graphics. and if the system just doesn't have the muscle for a particular game, spread it out over a few discs, I won't mind.

What was that? You wanted to look like a retarded fanboy-faget who's totally butthurt over the fact that Nintendo is walking all over Sony in both the stationary and hand-held market?
Oh, well then you did a good job, congratulations

So what was the point of this post?
What was that? You wanted to be a total dick to someone that is joking with sarcasm, instead of give a real argument?

Even though i didn't feel like it i've edited my post, since i think i'll regret saying that shit when my mood lightens up.
Don't wanna turn this thread into a flamewar.

@Klown lighten up dude >_> Also I use to be a hardcore nintendo fan-boy just like you. Believe it or not I wait for the day when nintendo finally and I mean FINALLY kill the mario and zelda series. To start something new and innovative. But that doesn't look like its going to happen anytime soon. In the mean time Sony is going with the try new stuff route. Heavy rain as one example looks Epic.

i believe its a look into the future.
Try and see the big picture, this is the first of many to come. Where developers have ideas that are just too darn big for the 360's brain to comprehend. As the article says PC's have infinite amount of space, PS3 can fit about 25GB on a Disc whilst the 360 can fit a WHOPPING 6 to 8GB. Im sorry i think its run its course unless they seriously do something so that future developers wont be held back by the limitations of the 360. Otherwise PC+PS3 gamers will suffer.

La Noire won't be coming to the 360. The developer said its too big to fit on 1 360 disk and sense its a free roaming open world game they can't put it on multiple disks. 360 is slowly being crippled by its limitations. Im not saying this will kill the 360. Im saying eventually it will.

Seriously, they're both good series that are associated with the word video games. None of the games are bad. Seriously, if people consider Sunshine and TP to be the worst games in the series, then Nintendo must be doing somehting right.
Now if you were talking about Sonic, then I would have agree with you. That series should have stop right after Sonic Adventure was released.
Also, Nintendo is trying new things. The sad thing is that people hate them for doing that. I guess they can't do anything right when it comes to gamers.

well, we've established that this whole thing is about profit. so why would developers and publishers only want to release a game for one console? especially the one that's sold the least number of units.

admittedly it makes very little sense, they must have been payed off, or they're planning to release a version for the other consoles later

Also the 360 WILL loose games like La Noire because the 360 just can't play them.
Sony has already said they plan on having the Ps3 as the flagship for 10 years just like the Ps2. So when they made it they gave way too much horsepower to begin with which is why the price was drove up which is why it didn't sell. BUT now 2 years down the line you can see why Sony did what they did. They Future proofed the Ps3 by giving it all that horsepower and data storage capabilities.
Okay onto 360. The problem I see for the 360 is that they maybe forced to make the 360's successor sooner then they wanted. Developers have showed with RAGE and La Noire that the 360's limitations are starting to become a problem. As time goes on games will require more and more storage.
