I've read from several developers that the 360 is a lot easier to develop for compared to the PS3. A lot of them complain that the PS3's dev tools are too clunky and restrictive. I'm not saying this is true, but this is what I've read. I think one of the companies that said that was Rockstar.

well of course your going to find good things being said about the ps3 in a ps3 conference.

hmmm so everything that was said at the 360, ps3, and wii conferences are just supposed to be disregarded because it was specifically intended to benefit each of the 3.

IDK Wii didn't really do anything right at E3 except make themselves look bad in the serious gamers eyes.

Also I had forgotten exactly how long the PS2 was the flagship. 10 years, is a long time. Its almost a copy of what the PS2 did as the PS3 is doing now. SLOW start but EPIC WIN.

I just really want to see what the cell processor can do in say year 3 & 4 +. Killzone 2 looks mighty impressive. BTW wasn't there a mystery game that Sony was showing at E3 that was behind " Closed doors "?

I really don't why people are are saying Nintendo has abandoned the core market. Last time I checked, they released Zelda: TP, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Mario Kart and Battalion Wars in the past 2 years. That's basically almost all of the game people were asking for. They even said they're working on Pikmin 3. Nintendo has 14 studios, there's no way they're all working on casual titles.

Also, people gotta realized that the new E3 is not aim at gamers but stockholders. Obviously, they want to see what's gonna make the most money this and next year. You really can't blame Nintendo for hyping Wii Sports 2 or Music. Just checked the sales for Wii Play and you'll see why.

Thats just it, its the same thing. Mario this mario that, Zelda this zelda that. Sorry but to me the Wii is nothing but a gimmick. Wii has made nothing that I thought was creative and innovative. Don't say that the console its self is innovative either because games is what I mean.

Of course it's not gonna be innovative when developers are not even trying to make innovative games. When they finally decided to stop porting or making crap, then we'll probably see the true potential of the Wii (which probably won't ever happen because people keep buying the crap)

Except that Sony has been lying on their conferences before, like when they presented new Ps3 games on some E3, can't remember which year, and told everybody that everything they saw was real-time footage.
That turned out to be bullshit, pretty much all of it was ju pre-rendered.

Things like that takes away from your credibility.

Well it's pretty much just me on the Nintendo side most of the time, although i see Azuran has joined now.

Even though i don't really like takin sides in console wars, since i play on 'em all, i usually end up defending Nintendo, since they mah boys from way back :P


Sony looked like dumbasses in 2006 with their "Giant Enemy Craby/Riiidge Raaaacer!" E3, it was just Nintendos turn this time.
MS will get it next year :P

The Ps2 didn't have a competitor toally owning the market as Wii is doing right now though, it pretty much was "the Wii" back then in terms of sales.


Are you guys saying that just because the Ps2 survived for 10 years the Ps3 is gonna do the same?
It's a whole nother market out there today than when the Ps2 reigned, the competition is also a whole nother deal.

@Klown were not saying it will last for 10 years sony said thats how long the PS3 will be the flagship. ( gucess thats when PS4 will come out ) Also its just a assumption sense both the PS1 & PS2 started off terribly then later became great successes.

Well if they've said that it's gonna be their flagship for 10 years then i guess it's gonna be, usually the starting sign for the death of a console is when a next-gen console comes out and the support is cut off.

The Ps2 ain't following those rules tho lol, it it's still selling better than Ps3, dunno bout the 360.

I was thinking about this today. I know that you guys previously posted that in order to win these so called "console wars" they must have the majority of sales and etc etc.
But wouldnt it also be important on how well the console does game wise, hardware and awards?

e.g 10,000 B.C got over 94Mil in box office and got disgustingly bad reviews(on RT 06%) whilst a movie like "Almost Famous" gets movie of the year and only got 34Mil in the box office.

lol unless the s3 drops in price significantly and makes there consoles fully backwards compatable i don't see it winning.
