The console wars

@PD I hated Fable before Yahtzee ever made that video so don't think Im stupid enough not to have my own opinion. All game reviews are there opinions. I just agree with Yahtzee on alot of stuff. Some not so much ( I liked Turok ).

Well, I just thought I'd bring that up since most people base their hate just because of his videos.

I don't see why you hate Fable. All games have flaws but seriously Fable was great... As I said though I guess you can't go around and say everyone will like something because everyone has their tastes...

I was hyped for it I really was. But it promised so much then let me down. Just like too human, altho Fable wasn't anywhere near as bad as the shit factory called Too human. I wouldn't say I hate it lets just say I was disappointed ( In Fable ).

This thread got huge...

Anyway, trying not to get sucked into argument, I believe Banjo Kazooie is still alive and well.

Abjo Kazooie was an OK game.

Huh? Since when are people looking at game sales when deciding the winner of a console-war?
It's always been the system that sells the most that's been crowned the winner, for obvious reasons.


It's a fun subject to discuss, that's all that's needed :P

As much as I abhor arguing over the console's and which is better, I have to disagree. If you only looked at the console's while ignoring the games (the most important part of console GAMING) then the PS3 and 360 are virtually identical.

You're looking at it from the gamers point of view, the winner is usually decided from the system-makers point of view, as in "sold the most consoles = win".

If were looking at it from the gamerz point of view then the 360 wins hands down.

unfortunately... you're right... the overrated COMPUTER would win... it's not even a console anymore >.<
PS3 would probably be in last place, and Wii second, if we're talking consoles.
Overall, if you count everything that can play games, the PC would win big time xD

Well, if in this console war, we're ONLY considering Console sales (I'm excluding PC) yes, Wii wins, but in my opinion, the real winner is the 360. I may sound biased but I came to this conclusion because I look at console by it's game content than the console itself. (If we look at it this way PS3 wins hands down while the Wii would lose...) The fact that 360 has sold the most games computes in my mind as "360 has the best games".

just because it sells the most games doesn't mean that it has the best games. They sell the most consoles, and therefore there are more people buying games for the 360, that doesn't mean that it has the best games.

You have to take into consideration that the 360 had a full year headstart on both the Ps3 and Wii.

360 did not sell the most consoles...

As for it having the best games. There really is no other way of looking at it. It means popularity and therefore it means "best" to me since I agree with the majority most of the time.


Well, if we want to go into that...

Wii has sold a bit more than half the games that the 360 has sold.
360 has been out for 3 years, Wii has been out for 2. That means the Wii should have 2/3 of the games that the 360 has sold, and if we are going by ratio and the Wii has sold more consoles, then the Wii should have caught up with the 360 sales for games...

I don't really want to get into a discussion regarding this matter, i was merely pointing out that one of the factors the 360 has sold so many games is because it had, as said, a full year headstart where it was the only next-gen console out on the market.

It still has the best library of the three imo, and im sure that helped out too.
