The "Last Game You Beat" Thread

I've been playing and platting a number of PS3 games over a period of time, but my recent finished game was last year's Asura's Wrath. Not only I got to experienced one of the best action games on a next gen console, I got to see an epic story with a cliffhanger twist ending. Now I have to get the DLC chapter to actually conclude the game, but I'm working on S ranking through episodes on Normal and Hard till then.

Bully: 9/10
I beat the shit out of Nerds when they started being pompous assholes. Also, this whole game was a complete delight from beginning to end. All awesome.

I'm planning on getting that as soon as I could get some new PSN funds this week, I'm really liking the story, but was pretty annoyed that I have to purchase the true few last chapters of the game. In the meantime, I'm doing the Mortal gauge run to unlock the remaining gauges before I take on Hard and S ranking all the episodes on that difficulty for the S ranked related trophies I working on.

L.A. Noire: 80.
+It's good. You will feel the noir atmosphere as soon as you start the game.
+The cases are so detail, from expressions to blood trails. Wow
+Radio makes it believable that it was 1940s
+After seeing L.A. Noire i don't understand why they don't use motion capture more on game.
-Some clues are too illogical.
-Ending, is a bit hasty i think.
-Some background story is muddled.

just beat bioshock infinite in 1999 mode. All I can say to myself is, why didn't I play this game when it came out on march? It was an experience of a lifetime and definitely a GOTY candidate along with The Last of Us

Finally managed to beat the first Jak and Daxter for the first time since I had the HD collection while collecting all the orbs and flies along the way too, so that's another plat to add to my collection.

I beat Dust: An Elasyian Tail two weeks ago. I liked it, but it was too short. I give it a 7/10.

Dark souls (again for the 7th time or so), but this time, I did it with a range only build.
I'd recommend range only, it makes the close up fights more intense, and it promotes using areas and surroundings in a way that you might not have thought to use before.
Notes: You'll need the Darkwood Grain Ring. You'll need to get the Darkmoon Bow Asap. You'll need the Heavy Crossbow Asap.
And farm dem souls for arrows and bolts; don't just buy regular arrows and bolts, get the good stoof.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3. 7/10
I've owned the game for over 2 years before finally getting around to beating the story missions. This game has a complete excuse of a plot, incomprehensible plot twists, and Shinn Asuka's a piece of shit no matter where he is. And what the fuck is the Knight Gundam?
But goddamn was this game fun. I got to play as my favorite Gundams and Gundam pilots of all time. My only gripes about the cast is that SEED: Destiny was included, Domon Kasshu's voice acting is fucking stupid most of the time, and Shiro Amata wasn't here.

Just beat God of War: Ascension a couple days ago, playing it yet again on Hard to clean up for the platinum and I love the challenge.

Payday: The Heist
This game has been described as "Left 4 Dead: robbery edition", but I think it is a lot different than Left 4 Dead.
It uses a lot of elements from Left 4 Dead (e.g. Moving/firing as a team, special enemies, glowing items of interest through walls, etc), but this game feels different from Left 4 Dead. It's a little hard to explain.
And it is actually difficult. The first time I tried to do a diamond heist, I died without getting any alarms disabled.
After a failed attempt or two (and learning more about how to not be detected), I disabled all the alarms with no hip-ups.
You'll fail miserably the first time or two, but after you learn about a specific levels cracks and good holding positions, you'll do a lot better than last time. But that doesn't mean levels instantly become easy.
The first level can be as hard as the last level.
This is- in no way the greatest game ever, but it is addictive, interesting and well thought-out as hell. I only wish some of my friends had it.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Fuck, that game's sexy. The old one or the new one?
OT:
I finally beat Black Rock Shooter: The Game. All I can say, is that it was worth waiting for it to be localized. The story was very enjoyable and I even had a rare "feels" (almost if not on par to how I felt when Mami died in Madoka) moment. I probably have another 2-3hrs of gameplay that I'll take care of tomorrow. EX-Missions, hunt levels, and a few challenges etc. are left for me to 100% the game.
Pros:
Original story - this story is completely different from the OVA and anime
Cons:
The gameplay started getting a bit repetitive and the ending had a few holes. Specifically the last sentence.
9/10
I'm looking forward to starting Dark Souls. I should finish Corpse Party: Book of Shadows first probably.

Last of us: 8/10
The game is really great in terms of cinematography. Blending in gameplay and story is great, just like how Uncharted 2 was. In the end the story aas rather generic but the way it was executed was brilliant. Ellie as a companion... yeah worthless compared to Elizabeth from Bioshock infinite... at least she would give me ammo and health when I need it. Ellie barely helps, if anything else its barely worth mentioning.
Multiplayer is fun but sometimes feel like a chore... being matched up with people 20 plus levels than you doesn't really help either...
