The "Last Game You Beat" Thread

Just beat Double Dragon Neon. I still need to unlock other difficulty levels and fully upgrade all mixtapes.

Edit: Just beat Splatoon's single player mode and got all the sunken sea scrolls. Still need the boy and girl inkling amiibos to beat the special challenges. (Along with beating my own high score in Squid Jumper mini game.)

Rise of the Tomb Raider. Was an awesome sequel to the reboot of the series, just as good as the previous iteration, great controls, varied ways to play (be it stealthy or lour and proud) the characters and the environments aesthetics were beautiful and fun to appreciate. Basically the exact same game with a few nice tweaks. Took me about 27 hours to beat, so I'd highly recommend it since it's a lot play time for a mostly linear action adventure game.

9/10.

Completed Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel on hard difficulty. Now to beat it on insane difficulty, unlock all weapons and mods as well.

Got 100% on Criminal Girls, Corpse Party: Blood Drive, and Freedom Wars.

Criminal Girls was okay. The writing picked up once I entered the frost block, but the gameplay sucks and it takes too long to start up for me to recommend it to anyone. Gallery was bugged to all hell, so I wasn't able to keep ending CGs. Got the ones I wanted in screenshot form, so eh.

Blood Drive was a disaster. Do not touch that garbage. Check the Visual Novel forum for more.

Freedom Wars was really fun, but I hated having to grind for materials and do 15 operations online to get the plat. Especially the latter part. Would absolutely recommend, though.

Beat the original Carmageddon, over a decade after my last playthrough.

Still a classic and the best of the series imho.

Finished Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

The gameplay was meh, and the story wasn't as great as the first or second one. Still, it had it's merits when it counted.

The last game I beat was Dark Souls.
I've still gotta finish Digital Devil Saga; beat Demifiend, and now that I'm on two I gotta beat Satan.

I probably won't end up playing that one there.
I'm ready for that third installment doe.
Gotta take a look at Virtue's Last Reward, too.

With the recent release of Megadimension Neptunia 7 (PS4), I ended up buying every Neptunia game on the PS Vita minus Neptunia PP... quite the impulse buy. I'm trying to play through the games in order, but since I'm eager to play the PS4 game, I've been rushing through them.

Made my way through Nep 1 and 2, and currently making my way through 3. While I've never played the PS3 originals, I hear that Nep 3 was the least remade of the games, and it really shows - so far it's my least fav. of the 3. While they all have problems (Nep 1 has some crazy difficulty spikes, Nep 2 is short), Nep 3 just seems like a step backwards. The interface is worse (the shop in particular is a *huge* step backwards), the new characters are kind of annoying (Plutia sucks, but Iris Heart has butt floss - win!), and the story is unfolding really slowly.

Still, I'm enjoying the series so far, and the fan service is second to none (Noir! Black Heart! moe boobs!). Lots of cute characters w/ a plethora of costumes to earn - this is a series by fanboys, for fanboys.

No idea when I'm going to make it to Neptunia U and Hyperdevotion Noir... too many games coming out in the next few months!

Because I was recording gameplay for the Jewtubes, Ratchet and Clank 3 for the billionth time.

Other than that, I notice I don't tend to play many games with an "ending".

So what games would those be without an ending called? I am just curious...

P.S. Have ever you played Ratchet:Dreadlock?

Usually games I consider to end are ones that leave you in a sort of limbo; you've done everything and now just awaiting the final boss. And when you clear it, you can either start again or go back to before you beat the boss. Now that I think about it not many modern games do that anymore and if they do there's usually some sort of post-storyline content (which is what I like). So it was probably a null statement.

And yes. Deadlocked is one of my favourite games. People were pissed that Clank wasn't playable but I don't think it mattered much.

asaforever The Lord of Butts!
Finally got my lazyass to complete every route of Princess Evangile.
I think i have like 100 hours on that novel now..^^

9/10, will probably increase or decrease by 1 point, depending how good the new routes will turn out, once the bonus disc is released for all major side characters.

(alltogether 9 routes by then ^_^ )

I think Ratchet:Deadlocked fits that description perfectly on what you stated before. As for the fans being mad you couldn't play as Clank is silly. There was a skin you unlocked that allowed you to play Clank anyway.

Yeah, Alpha Clank which apparently was made canon later in Full Frontal Assault by making it a transformation. There was also Blue Ratchet, though they never fully explained that one.

They confirmed Angela was a Lombax and went a bit into her backstory, giving her connections with Max Apogee and that female Lombaxes are physically different to males i.e no tail. But no mention of Blue Ratchet.

I'm playing through this now. Done Ayaka and Ritsuko's route, currently on Chiho.

Jealous Ayaka is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. She's my favourite of all the girls. Best waifu.

Story could've done without the drunken sexual assault. Didn't like that. Even worse, they kept referencing it later on.

edit: Done Chiho's. I consider hers the "true" route but Ayaka's is still my favourite. I'm on Rise's route now and feel so bad for Chiho, considering their backstory.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Picked it up mostly as a joke with the intent to return it after I got the plat, but it's actually pretty damn good. They slam you over the head with their message about bonds and beat your unconscious body with it for the entire length of story mode, but it's actually very enjoyable otherwise. The gameplay is an even better version of the Project Diva and Mirai styles, which was surprising because of how eh it looked when I watched.

My main complaint is that the soundtrack is rather...lacking...most of the time.
In a rhythm game.

Persona 4 Golden. I'll probably watch the anime next.

Call of Duty: Declassified. It's a terrible game and the main campaign lasts for 45 mins. Just traded it for Killzone: Mercenary and I hope it's better than that pile of dog feces.

DBZ Budokai HD. Budokai 1 is absolutely awful. I can wakeup punch opponents out of moves, inputs occasionally drop for no reason, combos don't connect properly, there's a goddamn infinite, supers with directional inputs are annoying because of said drops, and a bunch of other issues.

Budokai 3, on the other hand, is great. It still has some issues, but it feels like a DBZ game while still being a good fighter. My main complaints are the Dragon Rush (basically amounts to free damage if you get hit by any attack that launches or has knockback) being spammed by the AI, how easy it is to teleport out of combos, and...that's it, really. Being a fighting game player, I found the combo breaking teleport to be awful because of how easy it was to get the level of ki to do that. Especially when you have an otherwise deep system that even allows you to juggle the opponent for some time if you know the right moves to make.

Would recommend Budokai 3. The first one can rot in HFIL.
