Finished it under an hour ago. I seriously don't know what to do with myself now, my head is still in the game. That was one of the best games I've ever played and now one of my favourites.
10/10 and wow are all I can say at the minute.

So there was a patch yesterday which added another level to Explosives Expert perk in multiplayer and I think nerfed Sharp Hearing by 10%. Don't quote me on that though.
Multiplayer is pretty addicting, though the missions that can wipe out your whole clan can get annoying. Good thing healing teammates and gifting them items is extremely easy to fill your quota to avoid annihilation.

I just finished it
The Characters were DAMN GOOD. Those two! I wish i could meet with those two in real life. I wish.
Solid gameplay, tense. Looting need a thorough observation and me, as a looter, loved it.
The ending:
When they say i don't have a heart or i'm a monster because of my reaction about the ending, it just means that Naughty Dog have made a great game that made LOTS of people emotionally blended. But not everyone. Few people think more than feel more. I guess i'm one of the few.(Come on, think, what would you do in the end if you have a calm head.) (Don't think i don't feel, because i like clannad.)

It took me a good 3 days to come back to reality from this game after completing it the other day. My head was just full of the hauntingly beautiful story. Any other game I play now just feels like utter shite.

However, the ending kinda tugged at my heart, because Joel is force to choose between two: let Ellie die for the human race and the cure or save her life and lie about it.
Even worst is, at the end...you know that they both bonded in a way we'll never see. Not only that, but this game really define what it mean to be a survivor and how you view things from which perspectives.
Then again, in this world, humanity can surprise you.
and This game actually remind me of FFVII and FFX, where someone dies for a reason. :(

You should really spoiler this, despite being a day 1 purchase for myself, some people other than myself may not have completed the game.
Anyways going back on what you said.

This motherfucker has sold 3.4 million worldwide. It also held the top spot in the U.K. for 4 goddamn weeks. I like to think that quality games sell themselves, because word of mouth and not ratings. All I'm seeing in these figures is the fact that Naughty Dog is getting what they deserve. It's safe to say this game is their magnum opus. Even the SCEWS' CEO decided to publicly, and shamelessly, jerk off Sony and Naughty Dog.

sorry for not looking back and taking a while to respond, but i haven't noticed it. also, i kinda like how they reported that it infect the brain.
and yeah, i'm with you on this one. however, i wouldn't be surprised if they made a sequel to this game, but with a different main character that MIGHT have an attachment to Ellie, but is now seeking to put her down. i wouldn't be surprised if they did that.
also, a cure using Ellie isn't possible, unless, like some scientists' theory and several doctors, there is a cure from 1-in-a-million or something like that. i wouldn't be surprised if Ellie happen to be that cure and what she has, beside that fungus, might be a way to slow it down enough to fight back? who know?
but i can only hope one thing: that they NEVER make a sequel to this game. i like the ending. gives us so many different possible ending to this game. so many possible theory about how they live out their lives.
and no, i think Ellie knew, either that or she knows that she slowly turning, and didn't want to crush Joel's whatever. but even worst, it could be that Ellie knew about it, and what happened.

FUCKING HYPEMega excited to play as Ellie, her scenes in TLOU were fun, seriously excited to see more story too. Maybe even get some of the story of her and Marlenes relationship?
Did anything get released about what he character will actually be able to do or is it gunna just be a stealth/elude DLC?

I better hurry up and finish my Survivor + runs then take on multiplayer for the trophies I haven't gotten yet by the time the DLC comes out then. Ellie still looks badass.

The Grey Knight :y
So my cousin and I finished this recently, and I figured I'd put in my 2 cents.
As an entertainment source and overall experience, it was fantastic. Story, characters, atmosphere, dialogue, this game reeks high production values everywhere. I definitely enjoyed the adventure Ellie and Joel went on, as grueling as it was.
Which is why it's really disappointing to me that the actual gameplay itself felt so lacklustre in comparison. Don't get my wrong, I enjoyed the realism put into the gameplay elements, like the crafting system and how sound was implemented (this is probably my favourite aspect of the game), but the shooting mechanics felt generic compared to the rest of the game; the supplements upgrading system not only felt expensive, but what upgrades we did get didn't feel like they made much of a difference; and holy shit, for a game that's supposed to feel as real as possible, the enemies human enemies late-game just went full derp for me.
Case in point, in the final stage, while Joel hid out of sight of a soldier, the soldier himself proceeded to rush forth to our last known location to take cover nearby, only to rush back to his original position... and repeat the whole process again indefinitely (put him out of his misery after marvelling at the act for a few minutes). In a later part, in the final "room" of the game that has several enemies, instead of them regularly patrolling around, or checking to see why we're not doing anything (it's because we snuck around them), the enemies decide to just complete stare at my original position, not moving... one... bit...
It's a tricky thing, my feelings for The Last of Us. I faced some pretty glaring flaws, in my opinion, but I still would recommend this game to any gamer out there, because everything else (what makes it so amazing) is still worth playing through, even if only once (NG+ feels out of place in this game).

Just finished the Left Behind DLC, (a good solid 3 hour run) and yet again Naughty Dog delivered. Not we get to play more Ellie but we get to see a more innocent side to her during her times with Riley, who was an interesting character Ellie's development through the DLC. The thing surprised me the most near the end was
And boy, did I loved the minigames it thrown in, also added more to the essence Ellie and Riley were having before things went awry. I'm going to finish my trophy cleanup while I give Left Behind a Survivor run soon.
