Story: A man wakes up wounded in a small village of animal-people, where he is being nursed back to health by a girl, Eruruu, and her family. However, he cannot remember anything of his past: how he came to be wounded in the forest, his own name, or why or how a mysterious mask came to be attached to his face, unable to be removed. Eruruu's grandmother gives him a name -- Hakuoro -- and he is invited to stay at the village. In debt to these people, and with nowhere else to go having no memories, Hakuoro stays with the village and helps the people, bringing harvest to their barren fields. However, the land is being brought into war, and the feudal lord hears of these rumors and starts collecting their food as a tax. Hakuoro then finds himself entwined with these people and the uprising of a revolt army, all while wondering just who he really is. Mount "[Utawarerumono].iso" in the "Main Game" folder. DO NOT run the disk installer. Go to the "English patch" folder and run "Uta_installer.exe". The patch installer will install the game already in english. You may need to manually select the drive where tou mounted "[Utawarerumono].iso". - To install the voice patch copy the "UTSOUND.SFS" from the "Voice file" folder to the folder where you installed the game. After that go to the "Voice Patch" and also copy "utaware-voice.dll" and "utaware-voice.exe" to the game folder. Run "utaware-voice.exe" to play the game in english and with voices.

No, but the game gets alot better with voices, so it's recommended.

well, of course there aren't going to be any voicing at that part, since the Voice pack was taken from the PS2 game that has no H-scenes...

Well, use your "Imagination~~~~" to "voice" it yourself. :)

Thanks for the awesome upload!

However the game crashes for me, always at the same spot. Some time after the last fight against Benawi, when Aruruw says "Erungaa" (Scene about the nicknames).
Anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Reinstalling, or trying without the voice patch doesn't work for me.
If there's no solution known, could someone upload a savegame from a spot in the game a little after that? That'd be awesome.

Do you have your settings set to Japanese? That might be your problem.

You put UTSOUND.SFS in the install folder in your C drive. It will be in C:\\ Program files Utawarerumono I believe. You also put the voice_patch.exe and the .dll file in the same place. All three must be in the folder that Utawarerumono made in your C:\\ hard drive for it to work. If you need more help just ask.

Thats what I did but it says "Cannot find neccessary files" even though I have all of them and my UTSOUNDS.SFS is 1.242 GB.

NVM, I got it. You have to put the utaware-voice.dll, utaware-voice (application), and the UTSOUND.SFS at PROGRAM FILES and under the folder Utawarerumono not the folder called Utawarerumono that you got from extracting rarpart1 & 2. This is after you installed the english application, so make sure you install that before starting on the voice patch. After that start the game be clicking on utaware-voice (The application type). I hope that makes sense to you guys lol and ENJOY!

ok i played the game [sweet by the way] but i want the voices so i uplouded the voice patches [ came out in .rar] and i downlouded the hjsplit thing but when i try to join them i can't i don't knwo if im being stupid or if its a real proplem any one want to give a guy a hand. sigh
