What VN are you playing? What do you think about it?

Not really playing, but reading Kikokugai - The Cyber Slayer.

Nitroplus makes epic stuff, nuff said. I hope someone will translate the remake as well. :3

Not sure if everyone is on board with my choice, but Grisaia no Kajitsu
is a VN I currently enjoy a lot, I don't feel the pressure of making the wrong choice as it's fairly linear so far, you don't have choices, you go through the story. Thus far, the characters are amazing in my opinion, with each character having a distinct background just waiting to be discovered!

Started Tsukihime, well more like I am staring at the file because the 50+ hours of gameplay for completion is pretty daunting. So I am alternating between Tsukihime and Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou for when I am tired of staring at walls of text and instead want to laugh at what appears to be an impregnation crusade.

Tsukihime deserves attention, you should be patient and play all of it without switching to other VN's. It may be old as f*ck, but it's still one of Type Moon's milestones.

Anyway, finished Kikokugai the other day. Don't care if there were no choices, it was every kind of awesome. Also the ending, left me pretty much speechless. Gen Urobuchi is a master writer and a master troll as well. :D

I decided that the best way to enjoy a VN was to ease into the story, otherwise my mind becomes more focused about clearing the game rather than enjoying/analyzing the VN. To me it feels like forcibly going through the story is more disrespectful than the former option.

It wasn't my intention to say that you should "forcibly go through the story", it would be a waste in my opinion as well. However, certain visual novels deserve a bit more attention, wether because they're complex and rich with detail, or because the story they tell is worth the time and effort. Then again, everyone is free to do as he/she pleases, I for example. try to read one VN at a time (same with books and anime) because it would otherwise scramble my thoughts and make me forget. :)

The only wrong usage of a language is when you think you are better than others at using it.

Finished Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou, the game's biggest selling point would have to be it's absurd gameplay and comedy, I would add the moe factor from the toddler scenes post-birth but it's unfair it really is. The story is tolerable with handfuls of salt as the game should be taken and the only downside would be how easy the game is-Banchou points pretty much become irrelevant after the first hour of the game and I had no issues using the MC to clear all the levels with max BP at almost every turn, wasting no points into character development. I ran into trouble with Fertility battles using only ten points but that should never happen considering the abundance of BP. If this was a normal VN that hangs off it's story then I would have let this slide, but this is hardly a VN since it depends almost entirely on gameplay for quality.

Also chances of having girls twelve times in a row are .0244%. Binomial distributions included.

Well, since I've been feeling lazy to write I'm late on posting some thoughts about what I've been reading. So, here I go.

First, I finished Never7 -the end of infinity- about 1 month ago. To be honest, I was expecting more from the plot. I already knew that the twist wasn't that great but even so I was a bit disappointed. I guess that I was spoiled by Remember 11 and Ever 17. Taking the plot out there were some nice moments story-wise that managed to give the intended impact.

Even if the main twist is not that great the story is good trying to leave a mystery to know what is really happening. The pace is reasonably consistent so you won't have much to complain about how all the events are dealt with. The theories some characters created reasoning throughout some of the events are interesting. It's something I really like and made me immediately remember Remember 11.

Given that this is quite a old title it's to be expected a not so great quality on the voices. About the soundtrack I only remember the track that plays on the title screen.

I don't have much more to say because I seriously wasn't impressed with Never 7 so I even already forgot a lot of stuff. But nonetheless, I recognize that the game has it's good points. I give it a 7 / 10.

Other title that I finished very recently was Eroge! ~Sex and Games Make Sexy Games~.

Now I was very pleasantly surprised with this title. No, it wasn't because of line that said "Ahh, I came!" near the beginning. It was because although this is a nukige the pace of the story is good enough to make one not feel bothered keeping a good consistency.

Going through the game the characters start being more interesting and when we start getting on to the routes it just gets better if you know what I mean of course :3

Personality and events wise, I found Iori to be the least interesting. By this I don't mean that it was bad. By the contrary, there were some pretty nice scenes. But her personality just didn't grow much with me.
The other heroines were pleasant to read through so I'm generally satisfied with them. And speaking about them oh THAT bad ending.

Given that this title is a nukige the h-scenes were a important aspect of it and I give my complete approval for the content. There are h-scenes for a lot of fetishes and they weren't boring to read through at all. The voices were also pretty good. And I just need to say about that ahegao in basically every scene. Totally my taste.
Be sure to check the system configurations to see if you feel uncomfortable with some of the content of the h-scenes.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with Eroge. Clock Up knew what they wanted to achieve with this title and by my opinion they undoubtedly achieved it. Kudos to them. I give Eroge! ~Sex and Games Make Sexy Games~ the highest rating I ever gave to a nukige. 7 / 10.

I'm also going through Harukoi Otome and I only have one route to finish. I'll post my thoughts after I finish the whole game.

Also there is 2 episode anime adaptation for the nukige, it's tolerable and follows Himeno's route. I'm probably going to play it since I need more things to procrastinate cope with Tsukihime.

A third OVA is to be released and it seems to go now for Momoka. Check the getchu page. The screens on the bottom of the page seem... rather interesting :P
I already forgot about the first two OVAs so maybe I'll see them again.

Nene is probably of a race very similar to a human's but they can live far more years than us. Now doesn't this make a lot more sense? It's totally understandable if her body looks like one of a child.

Anyhow starting Eroge! ~H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai~ the menu options! It's like they played an actual Eroge and *gasp* want to please their fans!

My silence recently is mainly because to wait for Baldr Sky Zero. Granted I sincerely doubt it could match the epicness of the original Baldr Sky (or anything in the future could match it - it's REALLY, REALLY RARE to find a game that combines exciting gameplay and story so beautifully), but hell, the recent 99% releases of eroge VN REALLY did not appeal to me either. I found a few that has the right... 'type', but in the end they disappoint me massively. Hence.

Been playing 'Brava!' too, although - how should I put this? I was never a strong fan of drama/opera stuff (but orchestra is of course a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY) but the game was good enough that I could keep reading, but well... My head is kinda a bit too full of RWBY lately. And the worst part was writing incomplete RWBY fanfics that did not match my expectations (and continue them anyway because sometimes work is so fucking boring). Sigh.

I completely forgot about Baldr Sky Zero.... ORZ ...and there's also Rance 01 at the same day..

Rance 01 is out but Baldr Sky Zero still has not (officially it is, I'm talking about the torrent).

Just finished Ageha's route in "If My Heart Had Wings". Love the art and all the characters. I'm looking forward to finishing the other routes.

For any who have yet to play this game or don't know about it, the creators removed all the adult content from the game. Said they wanted to appeal to "12 year-old french girls". There is a restore patch out if you want to play it with all those extra goodies. I think its still a good play even without the adult content (though they did remove a lot of the script)

Now the game is out, but we have to wait for the NoDVD.
