せんすいぶ！ First Impressions.

Yeah I probably should've played this long time ago, but the art really didn't appeal to me (still doesn't and IS a step back from before), but I was so starved of VNs with good gameplay and story that I'm willing to try this out.

I'm surprised that they actually discussed about an interesting topic (on a VN at least) and made it sound good. Apparently the protagonist had a somewhat girlish look and he was 'tricked' by his mum into participating the water sports, which was supposed to be girls only. What's pitifully hilarious is that he actually managed to win everything he could until his career came to a screeching stop when his secret was revealed, and by his own mother (coach also) too. Even more terrible was that his mum clearly said to him that she wished that he was a girl instead, and that hurt his ego terribly and he left home.

Obviously the VN wasn't going to focus on his sexual issues (and the fact that his personality's completely a male means that there's no 'surprise' routes LOL), but I find myself holding surprising sympathy towards him. Disclaimer: I am NOT A GAY before anyone thinks anything weird. Both his mother and his elder sister clearly said to him that they wished that he was a girl instead - which was of course meant for his wellbeing and future, but just imagine the pain at being told off like this. It's almost the same as being told, "I wish you weren't born", because they're denying his existence as a male. Small wonder he ran out of home and began living by himself (before his sister joined in because she was worried for him).

The fact that his entire career was destroyed and ridiculed at was just normal. I honestly do not understand why the mother ever allowed him to join in the sports at the first place - she never told him that it was for girls only - because the only possible outcome would be the ruin of his life. What is the point really? Why do it? It's a miracle already that he was never found out during the 3 years he was active. Perhaps there would be more story into this (and I suspect I will NOT like the answer, but one can hope), and I wish fervently that it would be issued properly, even though it was not the main issue of the VN.

Finished Grisaia no Kajitsu. The most commendable feature is how they made the heroines compelling, for example after meeting Michiru I cringed at the thought of having to suffer her route but the instant I reached her route choice I threw myself at her. Each one of their stories have varying degrees of competence but are all satisfying, I never felt felt like regretting my choice in routes-even the bad endings had their own bitter-sweet appeal. My biggest complaint is that the auto-mode is aggravating, they have options to set the speed in the menu which has VERY minute affect on the transition speed of textboxes and after that during auto-mode you have to set a speed multiplier that affects the speed of the transition of textboxes and it appears that auto-mode has different transition speeds for certain lengths of text this would be fine if it was not completely thrown off by the previous two factors resulting in text-essays to overstay their welcome or short text to zoom by. Before long you will resign to mashing the Enter key in favor of your computer screen. Regardless,I highly recommend Grisaia no Kajitsu.

Oh and about Kazuki Kazami..

Hmm. The original Grisaia didn't really hit me that much (although the back story is really touching), but I guess I could give its sequel a try. Soon.

Well I will not claim it's Visual Novel of 2011 (despite my hyperboles) but I stand by my opinion that it is a must-have Visual Novel simply because it took exhaustingly generic tropes/heroines and made them constantly entertaining-it's trash content but it's GOOD trash content. My opinion of the Visual Novel is in no way affected by the megabytes of Wallpapers and System Voices included in the Omake section. I plead the Fifth.

That sounds like the "Soon. Really" I use when approaching Tsukihime ever since it's release, which I will play. Eventually.

I'm playing My Girlfriend is the President now.

It gives a lot of laughs, but it has a really strange plot

Finished playing Empress's Dominance.
Can't really say much about it, since it's just the same as Starless, but if the whole thing happened..IN SPACE..lol

So, there's nothing really special about it, it's a very similar formula:
Male Protag was rescued from death and turned into their sex slave.

It's quite disappointing, since there's only 4 female characters and I felt that the story is much shorter with less choices to affect the endings.

I completely agree. I've finished the game yesterday too, and it was barely a few hours of gameplay even though I went through every single ending. It's very likely that we'll never get to see another epic like Bible Black again...

Little Busters at the moment. So far, going well; it's quite comedic I will say.

In other news, I didn't want to create a thread, but Hate Plus has recently been released on Steam for those interested or didn't know. Hate Plus Website!

Already bought it, but I'm a little busy trying to complete 'Love and War Act 1' - an RPG basically, you won't believe how huge and detailed the world was, not to mention how long; I haven't finished the freaking thing yet after a whole day! Completely unlike those other bullshit RPGs who offer 1 HOUR GAMEPLAY per episode! - and so would have to play that on a later time. Probably very soon though, I need a break from the RPG since it's a little too... big to digest properly with such a short time.

Grisaia no Kajitsu, finished Amane route. Nit picking because Other than that it was good.

Finished Michiru's route and it was pretty good. Wish she had more dual personality time towards the end of the route.

Going to start on someone else tonight, probably Sachi.

That's how I believe everyone feels about it at first. Then you find out the truth a little bit at a time, and shit spirals so out of control you can't help feel a torrential torrent of feels. I'm on the verge of tears for such a large majority of this game.

Starting Chaos;Head, the grittiness is making me nostalgic for Silent Hill. The (initially, with hope) sour protagonist however is not...hurry up and beat a prostitute monster with a stick.

With the exception of the endings (which btw, isn't that impressive either) the story is as boring as, well, a delusional son-of-a-bitch's imagination.

Finished Steins;Gate mannnnnnn it really wonderful.
Since kid i always watch time machine movie or time travel movie, i could say every time story is pretty lame. Yep time movie has no brain and silly explanation, but this Steins;Gate is different lots of mystery, it make you think how to and can i revert the situation.
The story really hit and i like voice for this Vn especially Mayushi voice
when JAST released it i will definite buy it, it really worth
