I thought Serb and the other dev were still going at it. Even with the 100mm though that puts it on par with the other tier 6 heavies regardless. I'm about to get the T150 wrapping up my KV2 grind and I have a feeling that it'll be the better platform for players who enjoy reliable angled armor.Theyre still going.
SerB wants to keep it
Zbloni(?) wants to remove it.

Had two very epic matches with the AT 8 (one with 2000+ damage, Tier 8 match, ended in draw, the other 1600+ damage, Tier 7 match, won).
Also had some fun with the VK 36.01 H (the only thing I'm missing is the top engine, but it's already an awesome little beast). I'm a bit sad that they will nerf the Germans though, they don't deserve it - heck, they are the only in-game faction with legit WW2 tanks from Tier 1 to Tier 10. :S
Oh, and I do have to agree with the nerf to the KV-1S, the 122mm in Tier 6 matches is just silly.

Btw, making a skin of AT 8 pihip.
Soon should be done.

Thanks for telling, but I don't use skin mods (the only time I did, was to have a shiny gold Ooarai Panzer 38(t), so cool :3).
Anyway, I'd like to hear some advice from you experts: I stopped grinding the American turreted TDs after the very terrible experience I had with the T25/2 (I can't say it's a bad tank, but it's just too vanilla, poor/average in everything, and camo doesn't do sh*t even with added Camo Net).
Should I clench my teeth, try again and endure till I get the T28 Prototype, or it's a waste of time? If it's worth the effort, which crew skills-modules should I have? And finally, how should I play it? I had a blast when I learned how to properly use the M18 Hellcat, but the T25/2 is just too different - at least IMHO.

I havent reached it yet, but what i can tell is that without top engine and tracks, youre in a shitter.
You need to endure the pain, since overall, it isnt that good to begin with.

I have it fully upgraded, and it's crap all the same. Either you're lucky and get a good map where you can snipe at will (and be effective while at it), or you start praying. Seriously, even with the top gun your best bet is to hit the sides or rear of enemy tanks, otherwise you just can't do sh*t.

Shouldn't ever go up against heavies on 1 v 1 engagement. Support line tank due to lack of armor and having above average agility & speed.
T28 proto - Super heavy front armor with no armor on sides / rear. Pretty much immune to tier 7 tanks and below from the front. (Counting the pubs dont use gold) but the armor becomes bit unreliable vs high pen high armor tanks like Ferdi / Foch. Wouldn't recommend getting within 200m enemy tanks with the vehicle due to lack of agility.
Also because the proto has a open top turret it's also susceptible to artillery rounds hitting the turret and more or less one shotting the vehicle.
Heck, most of american turreted TD's are support fire tanks that should follow up after friendly heavies and take out the enemy high armor targets. Positioning is key and knowledge on the enemy artillery and is it reloading or not, for even T30 can get one shot by arty due to the massive engine deck.
T110E4 though is a REALLY good tank destroyer and packs serious armor as well. Only the lower frontal plate and the cupola on top are weak for penetrations but pretty much immune to anything else on the front.
It gets better really. Maybe you should try to platoon with other people running same tier vehicles.

Unfortunately my friends (who used to play a lot and introduced me to the game by the way) dropped WoT for one reason or another, so I'm pretty much alone right now - and I wouldn't like to burden more experienced players, I'm still in the newbie/average phase.
That said, it's true that the T25/2 is good at taking out lightly armoured targets, but in high-tier matches they're a minority, and the tank itself is too slow (speed and traverse) to be anything more than a relocating sniper.
I used to say this about this tank and its playstyle: if they (the heavies) are the lions, then I'm the vulture. So fire at isolated/exposed/distracted targets, stay the heck away from the frontlines, and so on.
EDIT: Just had a fairly interesting experience. Tier 8 match, for the first time I encountered a T-44 equipped with the 122mm boomstick. I was in my VK, there was a Panther M10 and another medium, he utterly obliterated us, then moved on to score the most kills in the match for his team. I wonder if it was just luck on his part, or if the 122 actually works with mediums, contrary to popular belief.

Well, it seems that everything has to end, some things more quickly than others.
To put it simply, I'm quitting World of Tanks. I'm not the videogame addict I used to be, and to be honest there are other things that I enjoy more than playing with tanks - and it's about time that I start being nice to my wallet, gunplas don't buy themselves.
So with this said, I bid you farewell, fellow tankers. Keep playing smart and fair, and most importantly, have fun. ;)

Ah well, no problem in moving on. I hope you decide to pick up and play again one day.
I understand your money woes with it though, this game has consumed a lot of money over time that could be put into my actual tank models and paints =/

Well, if I can, I will definitely pick it up again - there are tanks that I would love to try at least once. The thing is, it's a pay-to-play game, you can't just F2P if you want to play in the high tiers (and training a new crew from scratch for every tank is a chore), so in the end if you want to play AND enjoy this game, your wallet has to suffer.
Then again, if I decide to drop gunplas for a while, I would have no problems continuing with WoT. I'll see what to do.

I've taken a shot through the driver window on tiger and it was a zero damage penetration even when it clearly shows that the window got penetrated xD HP still full. I think i still have that screenshot somewhere..

So, patch 8.8 is live on the EU server. I fail to understand why they nerfed the 'Super' Pershing so much, considering that EVERYONE knows where to shoot to damage it. I'm also a bit sad that they nerfed the German engines on the Henschel side of the Heavy tree (VK 36.01 H and Tiger), but oh well, if I play again I can always switch to the Porsche side (got the VK 30.01 P fully upgraded).
About the new Chinese premiums, they are nice, though not gamebreaking - of course, they are premium tanks. The T-34-3 catches on fire a bit easily, and its hull armor is quite crappy, but it's quick enough and the 122mm does work. The 112 (which is actually the predecessor of the 113 Tier 10 heavy) has strong frontal armor and the usual D-25 boomstick (less RoF compared to the IS-6, but can fire HEAT ammo). Both have preferential MM and are available only in the Gift Shop.
Dunno about the Russian mediums, my area of expertise lies with slow, well-armored tanks, not fast flankers. :P

Has anyone else tried the 360 beta? I played for a couple hours, and I must say, gameplay and graphics are pretty solid. There are 3 issues, 2 of which are highly relatable. First, the mini map you have. The thing about it is that it only shows the immediate area, and the detail on said map are useless.
The other two would be the tech tree UI and upgrade system. I find that it's an utter mess, being too plain, and you only being able to buy and use preset packages rather than being able to upgrade a certain aspect of a tank. What's worse is that the package tell you nothing of the individual gears abilities. All you see is the name, but nothing else, like information on fire rate, damage, or even penetration.
Just wondering what's everyone else thinks of the game so far.
