So, patch 8.8 is live on the EU server. I fail to understand why they nerfed the 'Super' Pershing so much, considering that EVERYONE knows where to shoot to damage it. I'm also a bit sad that they nerfed the German engines on the Henschel side of the Heavy tree (VK 36.01 H and Tiger), but oh well, if I play again I can always switch to the Porsche side (got the VK 30.01 P fully upgraded). About the new Chinese premiums, they are nice, though not gamebreaking - of course, they are premium tanks. The T-34-3 catches on fire a bit easily, and its hull armor is quite crappy, but it's quick enough and the 122mm does work. The 112 (which is actually the predecessor of the 113 Tier 10 heavy) has strong frontal armor and the usual D-25 boomstick (less RoF compared to the IS-6, but can fire HEAT ammo). Both have preferential MM and are available only in the Gift Shop.
Dunno about the Russian mediums, my area of expertise lies with slow, well-armored tanks, not fast flankers. :P
Still waiting in NA. The 112's heat completely invalidates any reason to get an IS-6 other than the fact that the majority of the people play russian heavies at some point in there tanking career before the chinese.

Anyway, the 112 has more reliable frontal armor, BUT as I've seen on video reviews on Youtube, like the T-34-3 it catches fire or breaks modules way too easily. Of course, it might just be bad luck.
EDIT: Scratch bad luck. Both the 112 and the T-34-3 have modules made of glass. I swear, in EVERY video I watched, one every two-three shot damaged a module, either fuel tanks, ammorack, engine, etc. I don't know if this is the game trolling the players, but seriously, it was ridiculous.

After all, the T-34-3 is a larger and better T-34-2 with the same weaknesses (mainly extra-fragile modules and terribad gun depression). Then again, I would love to get this thing too, mostly because it's Chinese, and it's a 122mm boomstick mounted on a fast and somewhat well-armored chassis.
About the crew skills of the T-34-3, I did read that it has decent camo value (less than the T-34-2 but comparable to the WZ-120, if slightly better), so getting that plus stuff that helps the modules (like Safe Stowage and Preventive Maintenance) could be an idea.

Broke 1800 wn7 for my last 1000 games and slowly pulling up my overall back from the depths =P. I started down the american autoloader route and grinding through the m5, m7, and at the t21 since yesterday. Surprisingly enough I've somehow managed to average 800 exp per battle in those things. T21 isn't that bad, but the low apcr pen on the m1a2 can fail you in close tier 10 games.

Made major rampage die for 2nd time in pubs and later on, picked up ace tanker for easy eight. Been a good day for me.

So I just got the T71 today and holy fuck. This beast is not only pure fun to drive, but it's a monster as well. Got my mastery badge in the second match XD

Congrats, I only get suicide cultists as teammates on my T71 so its not that fun to drive as the result. At least I only have 9k exp left then i'm throwing the t71 away for good cuz with teammates I get on it I don't need enemies.

So contrary to everything I've thought and said so far (apologies to Data Zero), I went for the turretless American TD line once more, and currently am at the M36 Jackson. Unimpressive machine, feels like a Tier 6 T25/2, but who cares so long as I get the T25 AT and the behemoths that follow - read as: I want a bloody T95.
Also, tank destroyers can work wonders in Encounter battles, I'm happy (so far I avoided non-standard random battles exactly because they're too situational for non-specialized tanks, like the heavies).

Perhaps, but I prefer that 122mm and firing ambush shots then quickly retreating rather than trying to sustain fire in a weakly armored td.

Also, I spoke too soon. The Jackson may be unremarkable, but it does its job pretty well, got Ace Tanker on it (plus some absurd bounces, even against higher tier guns). Also, Encounter battles are a godsend for TD's, so long as the team cooperates of course. :D

Never played the jackson, though it's the path of us td with armor iirc, Has some decent sloping as well and the same gun so I guess it depends on your playstyle whether you like it or not XD
So what do you guys think of the NA missions (dunno about EU). Last weekend they had a similar event but this weekend if you get 20 kills each in a T1 heavy, at2, and t-34 (ussr) you get 1,000,000 credits, 7 days of premium, and 10 of each preium Fire ext, repairkit, and medpack. If every weekend is gonna be like this then hell I'm gonna go pubstomp some lower tiers for free shit XD

The Jackson is basically a bigger Wolverine with a better gun and more reliable armor. Angling helps bounce shots from the front, but sometimes it's just dumb luck. Compared to the Hellcat, it is slower but has better acceleration, turns a bit faster and carries more ammo.
