Speaking of M3 Lee,

I found M3 Lee to be a fun experience in all ways.

It was entertaining piece of vehicle. While its armor sucked hard it was able to compete with other mediums in tier 5 and put up a decent fight in proper hands. A good positsion and treating it as a TD was even more rewarding as its Top gun showed it ment business in all fronts.

But what is your experience with M3 Lee in general?

I am asking this from everyone.

No gun dep, alright fast firing guns, but at the end of the day, the su152 122mm has more dps than its counter part and more alpha, the ISU152 and Obj704 also have more alpha and acceptable dpm. The second line of russian td's is pretty inferior to other country's td's until the Object 263, which only makes up for its lowest alpha gun with good frontal armor, mobility, and rof.

Imho, the Alpha line of russian td's is also just more appealing to most players

I have to admit, you're right. After some games where I saw them in action, both SU-152 and ISU-152 are clearly superior in their role as tank destroyers (and for a good reason - they were made to pry Tigers open during WW2). I guess I'll join the bandwagon when I'll start the Russian TD line. :P

Anyway, I finally got the 105mm on the T25 AT and, well... I don't know. For 1000 credits per shot, I expected something a bit more performing. Still much better than the 90mm, but kinda meh.

EDIT: I almost forgot. Got a Steel Wall with the T25 AT. Last shot I bounced was a BL-10 shell that hit the gun mantlet.

The Obj 268 line is on special now too. Get grinding those credits. Also yeah, the BL10 has a tendency to hit or miss 50/50 regardless of how well you're aimed =P

Eh Can't really say anything about m3 lee, I was a newbie when I got it, I was like dude where's the friggin turret. SO i just ran and gunn'd everywhere no turret be damned. Then I free exp'd m3 lee to unlock the t1ht and m4 sherman.

I think i have like less than 20 battles in m3 lee xD I remember fighting in siegfried line and himmelsdorf on it and that was it.

However i did remember trying to hide my left half on a corner while driving in my m3 lee, I didn't do it very much, not enough wandering baddies to ambush like that.

I haven't even unlocked the SU-85, let me finish at least with the Americans before going to another line. That said, I don't want Tier 10s (too expensive to maintain even with premium account), I'll stop at Tier 9 at most. :P

Anyway, for old times' sake and to see if I'm really as noob as I think I am, I rebought a KV-1S. Second game was a Tier 8 match in Sacred Valley, everyone lemming-rushing while me, another KV-1S and a VK 30.02 D went to the upper part of the map to defend. I went ahead of them and encountered two T34s, two KV-1Ss and a Pz.IV Schmalturm. Bounced 4-5 shots, then they killed me after I did some damage. We lost the match, but for f*ck's sake, KV-1S armor is more trollish than IS-6, if IS is that good as well then I'm going to be happy.

IS gets a buff as well. Model change meaning it gets better angles and more effective armor.

Which is kinda stupid tbh. One of the most played tier 8 and it gets a buff.

thing is any gun with over 180mm of penetration at almost any angle other than dead on is enough to get you through the pike of the average IS-3 player, which isn't saying much though considering the majority of IS3 players are made of rubbish. (on the NA server atleast)

We will know when we see it. Too early to speculate.

Then either they're good on the EU server or I'm the noob, because even with the 105mm on the T25 AT I never managed to pen an IS-3 from the front. Sides and rear, any time, but the pike is made of diamond. :V

This. All of this. I've never penned the pike of an IS-3 from the front, even with my jt88, and that thing is pen crazy

The upper hatch of the is3 upgraded turret is easy to pen even at a seemingly autobounce angle if you have a clear shot at it, and to pent an is3 from the front (assuming you're gun is relatively at the same level of the is3) is to shoot the lower glacis if they're straight at you, or into the pike side if they angle at you. Such is the flaw of piked armor

Had a hilarious match just now. Prokhorovka, encounter Tier 7 match, me (with KV-1S), another KV-1S, a ELC AMX who scouted for us and did a good job, and a Tiger who was leading us, sweep the map for enemies. We go back to cap, only a Porsche Tiger on low health near the cap and a Hellcat hiding on the hill overlooking it. Tiger has balls of steel and charges the Porsche Tiger, goes through some bushes, falls into the canal (the one in the upper right of the map) and 'splodes. The whole chat was either laughing or cheering, even the enemy team. :D
