Hmm...I don't really understand the RP concepts but I think it doesn't classify as a story, it's more like a pen and paper RPG game to me~

Not too much has happened this past month of August, but If I had to mark someone with an exceptionally interesting story, it would have to be Toxic's "Ongoings?" from his collection. Not only for the clear peaceful setting of the piece that seems to emanate from it and have a profound affect on the reader, but also for the flawless writing that simply amazes me in any lack of spelling, grammar, or punctuation mistakes. For a deep reader like myself, it's quite special.

Waiting Up by SmittenKitten.
Nominate for a November recommendation, please. Like, right now. That's a lot of writing skill for a 16-ish-year-old, and now she's past her university education. This is one kitty cat that's gonna evolve into a lioness to look out for. :)

I've got some ideas to spice it up, but it needs participation from lots of you guys here. To sum things up, I'm thinking of making a 'Story of The Year' award announced nearing the end of every year.
The purpose of this event is to vote for the best story of this year according to the community, and also serves for appreciation towards our hard-working writers who delivered their utmost best to us.
Basically every member recommends stories the same way they did regularly, but you can pick those who's already recommended or the other things that you think might deserve its own spotlight, general guidelines still apply, not to recommend your own works.
For this 'Story of The Year' event, each member may recommend only 1 entry that they find deserving for the title, it will be counted as 1 vote and for the same stories recommended will have an additional 1 vote added~
If you guys approve of this event, I'll update the second post periodically for the ongoing votes. For the starting time I think it depends on when you're ready, and the closing time will be on the mid-end of January 2012.
Anyways, if you have any ideas and suggestions you want to give, feel free to do so, I'm open to new ideas. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me about it =)

Poor thread. The idea about the story of the year doesn't sound bad, by the way.

Nah this is pretty much similar as the seasonal writing one, though I can't do much without the support of many of you guys here~

Ok now so here's my final recommendation of the year
I recommend Fappy New Year which is written by Xenon, to the current roster. It's one of my favorite pieces of the last year contest, which combines well-written structured text with nice flow of words, the characters used therein are also nicely developed.
The piece itself brought about a natural enjoyment as I read through it~
A simple yet heart-warming piece written in easy-to-understand English which I think could appeal to many people, I found this one befitting as a grand ending to 2011, congratulations sir!

I'm glad to hear that, he's one writer that definitely needs recognition imo~
Well then that's all for this year on my behalf, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

You're...gonna make me tear up. Thank you for the kind recommendation, I was fairly certain my only few pieces submitted to the section had been sucked away by time and long since forgotten. I haven't submitted too much, but it's nice to know what I have is seen positively to someone. I'll make it up by doing my best to be an awesome judge, which I would do regardless. Happy holidays, everybody.

Rather, read it not that I would be an awesome judge regardless, but as I intended it to say, which was that I meant to do my best regardless of being the recipient of this most astound recommendation.

[color=red][b]So basically, it translates to, "I'm gonna do my best!" yes?

In layman's terms.

For those who think layman's terms suck.

If this were facebook, I would like this comment. Rep will have to suffice.
