I can see the vanilla tag, The end makes it seem like she can finally tell he sees her as more then just a sex item. I hope we get a sequel to confirm that premise but she definitely could tell it wasn't like usual guys even if it was in her own sexual desire way, she seems to start to get it

Sweet ending indeed...gotta say though, every time she brought up how she usually got banged (by EVERY OTHER DUDE!) during each movement or position, killed the boner every time. Smh 😒
She likes the fact that he is the only one who values her a person than just someone to fuck and that he wants her to value herself as much as he does.
Forgive me for this, but this story is as deep as a kiddie pool. A deep story will cause you to think about the choices the character made long after it is over. You will ponder their motivations, histories, and flaws late into the night. There is little these characters could do that would surprise me unless it went directly against what they have already done. Iijima is a semi reformed delinquent, a decent guy and the only one with any depth. I don't think he rescued Fuyumi the first time because she reminded him of his mother being abandoned. It looked more like his personal code of justice not to leave an idiot to be taken advantage of. He didn't understand that all of Fuyumi's interactions with men revolved around sex, so he wasn't saving her.
I can't see Fuyumi having an intresting back story at all. Maybe it was rape or a pushy boyfriend but she latched onto the idea that sex is all she has to offer and that is her character in a nutshell. No growth. At the end of the story she still sees his "rescue" as an attempt at sex. He even goes so far as to recontextualize their relationship so she can understand. "Monogamous relationships make me horny"
I see your point, but if we're really honest here - this is a short story hentai. If you took the sex out, well the story isn't a Stephen King novel, but it's definitely more than those other short two-page spreads or whatever they're called. I actually enjoyed the story for what it was. Just something just a little bit different, with a hero who's imperfect and can't convey all his feelings, but there's breadcrumbs and portions of the story for the reader to figure out on their own, and not a Marvel comic which has to over-explain everything to make damn sure the reader gets it. That's good enough in my books.
"Don't ditch the chick you just banged"? Wow, what a nice guy.
And he genuinely is. He has a problem with guys just pumping and dumping the girl (Possibly implying that's what happened to his mother?) and he has morals and principles, he even resisted all her attempts to get him to have sex with her for quite some time before telling her about his hang-up and not being like the other fellas.
"Then take responsibility"? That's quite the line to drop there, but hey, it is indeed a solution. And hey, considering that ending, I'd say that's what he's doing. Good on him. And yeah, him telling her that keeping her for himself is what turns him on...Well, interesting choice of words, but hey, if it works, it works.
The vanilla tag feels off. I can see why it looks like it should be here, but it doesn't hold up in the story. At no point in the story does it actually seem like they love each other. Fuyumi is a girl who doesn't even respect herself and treats any encounter with a male as a sexual one. Iijima is a guy who puts women on pedestals because his father left his mother when see was pregnant. Their entire relationship is based on Iijima's unwillingness to abandon a woman and Fuyumi's complete apathy as long as she has sex.
Iijima-kun is the kind of guy I would hang out & have beers with, the delinquent with a heart of gold & respects women because of past experiences. So I really do wish the couple all the best in the future. That said, I wanna see more of their lovey-dovey moments.
So, to copy someone's catchphrase here, SEQUEL OR WE RIOT ***flings chair***
IMHO, seems Fuyumi over time had become, so-to-say, "the school bicycle" (if you know what I mean), possibly coming to believe she could only be accepted by behaving that way. Meanwhile Iijima somehow over time picked up a misconceived impression of being a delinquent bad-boy. Something stirred in him that Fuyumi could be and do better than she was ... at least he had his mis-representation to ward off guys seeking an easy lay. Might take a while to cure Fuyumi of her knee-jerk tendency to drop her skirt on a mere whim, but just maybe, she might be worth it.
A ditzy girl who seems to just go along with anything people ask of her, how fortunate she met Iijima.
That said, I would really want to see them being together in a sequel.
It's interesting, they both seem confused because neither one seems to fully understand why they feel the way they do about the other - their surface personalities don't seem very compatible but their deeper psychology gives them strange feelings that draw them to each other.
