Nicely drawn. Kinda sad that business is so bad around there that they have to resort to prostitution to keep it open. For mr protagonist it’s a pretty sweet deal, he’s just there on business. Thinking about the daily lives of these two women and how that are forced to sleep with old guys or else lose everything leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know that it is prostitution. They didn't mention an extra charge for a "Hot Water Bottle". It may be they only give the service to regulars and those they approve of. The daughter did turn him down at first.

The only reason they offer the Hot Water Bottle is because if they didn't it they would lose ownership of the inn. Only reason that would happen is because they don't get enough customers anymore since a ton of people left the area. It isn't prostitution in the sense that they report back to a pimp in some back alley, but they definitely aren't living the dream either if the only thing keeping their inn afloat is to have sex with customers so that those customers keep coming back. No word on whether or not there was going to be more business coming soon for these two, so that they could cut sex from the equation and, ya know, run an inn how you normally would.
