The cheating genre isn't the ntr genre, you're doing an example of false moral equivalence here. I have nothing against ntr but I have no illusions for it: it's the suffering and humiliation of the mc you're enjoying, admit it. It's even worse when the girl becomes pregnant. All those feelings of humiliation towards the male is one of main features of ntr. I don't think male readers and female readers read it for the same reasons, since the males naturally identify with the mc.

I upticked this a while back but you're right. The main object generally with NTRs is to get off on the degradation of the victim. The outer, thin-shell impression of NTRs is that the victim deserves what ends up happening somehow (he's wimpy or a terrible lover, etc.) but most of the time (not here, tho lol), that isn't rationally displayed or even inferred within the story. So most end up being some sort of vendetta against healthy relationships and caters to the affinity of watching someone blow one of them up. This is a relatively small population of readers so then what I feel NTR artists do is make the art look more appealing to draw more readers in because a good chunk of would-be NTR readers don't go into a story wanting to read about somebody decent getting fucked over.

Sharing is actually ok for me, as long as MC knows and enjoys himself (if possible with some girls too). What makes me "meh :/" sometimes with NTR is that there's always that feeling of betrayal, and even worse: that "humiliation" factor often going on (the female prefering the other guy, how he's more manly blablabla). Without forgetting how passive the MC generally is, 90% of the time it's a sissy.
Still, I enjoy seeing the girls being defiled. That's why I prefer swinging content, in which a real man can swap his girlfriend, fuck another one, and still not be afraid of "being ridiculed because he would feel inferior" or whatever ntr bullshit.
