Not only is the art out of this fucking world but the scenario could not be sexier. And it is very nice to see such a well-designed male lead. What a hunk!
The power imbalance is very clear but I'm pleasantly surprised by the care at which Rouen treats Meian. In another story he'd just be some "master manipulator" type who gets her "hooked on his dick" or something. But I like the angle that he genuinely cares. (At least up to a certain point.) And I appreciate that he's a good artist. (Holy crap, that tattoo turned out great. Probably wouldn't look quite as good IRL but that's all right.)

Yeah, nevermind how she's been clearly abused, how she's being taken advantage of, how the main guy is "molding her" into "his woman" and that first thing she openly defines herself as is relating to him and lowkey being proud she's his "canvas". If you read the author's other works, he's definitely more about the fantasy of the scenario (and very willing to delve into taboo subjects) and he's not about trying to justify anyone's motivations. On the one hand, sexy for sure. On the other? Yeah, we aren't on Barney and Friends with this author.
