Although not depicted, it's quite possible that their friends and relatives *cough-cough* "KNOW" why this story's couple is 'out of town' for a while (wink-wink, nudge-nudge). Perhaps some of them might even have "felt a disturbance in the Force" as things progressed.

Still, it was cute enough to get the job done, ... and sometimes, that's good enough.
