I agree with the comments that the MC and his girlfriend aren’t really a couple and just settled with one another which is why he reacted the way he did when shown the photo. Looks like he never noticed kinomiya, the one who truly loved him and understood him the most. Her confession to him was heartbreaking because he’s graduating and she feels like she’s being left behind. She didn’t want the regret of “what if” so she went for him and gave him her first time. sad that the confession was a little to late but I believe she won’t give up that easily. Like another person in the comments said, I don’t think the guy and girlfriend actually love each other but just kind of settled for each other hence why the guy wasn’t more freaked out over seeing that picture . Nothing wrong with that, I'm not a fan of NTR myself. Although it should be stated that there are a few stories with NTR or cheating that have happy feels. An example is "Netonetorare" by Hyocorou, my all time favorite fakku chapter which technically includes cheating and both, male and female, NTR...

@Stanri010 as I see it his only fault is that he is weak willed, I mean, we learn that he knows that his gf cheats on him and doesn't do anything about it (not to mention that she seemingly doesn't let him have sex with her, because she is satisfied with her lover). And cheating on a girl you know is cheating on you is not really cheating but proves that their relationship is shit and they should break up...
