I don't think they will show the solution to the murder so here is my take. 3 things I would need to rule out doubts. 1 - the age of the victim. 2 - their marital status. 3 - the contents of their last meal. Theory - Spouse of the victim poisoned dinner with sleeping medicine, cut their throat, burned down kitchen to hide evidence and murder weapon. That explains both the lack of defensive wounds and why the fire was contained to 1 room.
