The start of a historic classic
So, we have the first volume of a well-known classic series. This is part 1 of the 4-volume set that FAKKU re-released, with each volume being pretty hefty (~300 pages each, so ~1200 pages total).
Organization-wise, it's all one long big story. There isn't really a strong chapter structure to it, so reading it will feel quite different compared to the anthologies and compilations that comprise most of the FAKKU books. It's even different compared the other long-form stories that still usually have a very regular decomposition into very regular 20-30 page standalone chapters. Produces a feeling much more like reading a novel.
The art style of the book definitely has a very distinct older style, not surprising of course since it was originally published in the 80s. If your idea of "old" hentai is stuff from 10 or even 20 years ago then this is still probably going to be a fairly alien style. As a matter of personal taste I will admit that I do generally prefer the more modern art styles that show up these days, but that doesn't mean I can't also enjoy and appreciate the classics (and it's nice to get some variety anyway). The characters do tend towards much more human and realistic proportions (e.g. not so much of the ginormous knockers that are so common in hentai) which is either a plus or a minus depending on your tastes.
The book story and tropes tend towards horror stuff, with a lot of the plot revolving around demons (and demon-possessed humans) with some darker stuff (violence, mind control, forced, death). I don't generally find it to be deliberately over-the-top gross-out stuff like a lot of guro tends to be, but it also doesn't shy away from blood or killin' either. So it's a dark story, and maybe not for you if you like lighter and happier stuff, but it flows well from the story, not just doing dark stuff for the sake of being dark or for shock value. I'm not going to try to summarize the plot here, it would actually take quite a lot to write that up and this is just a quick review, not a book report. The summaries for each volume on FAKKU do a reasonable job of giving you an overview of the general plot.
I will make note of the fact that the book does have the naughty bits generally censored. I'd say whiteout style is a reasonable summary of the style, you're not really seeing any of those parts, although sometimes it uses shading or darkness to obscure things. As is covered in other comments and posts, this is just how the material was originally drawn, just be aware of that if that sort of thing is a dealbreaker for you.
