You're So Far Away

This kinda stuff is like spicy food for your heart (as in the emotional heart). It hurts but for some reason you keep coming back. It's the darndest thing.

I can't lie, I'd say I've developed an..."appreciation" to this kinda stuff over time. I'm not asking for it, but I'll take a peek and read through the story despite the tags.

And, at the risk of getting too personal, stories like these help me understand, accept, and ultimately move on with things I've experienced in life.

That and, no matter what, the art is still sexy. Nothing like a female character being consumed by pleasure. Like, at the end of the day, the female lead (usually) walks away happy with these stories.

Edit: Oh, and also, these stories help me appreciate vanilla even more. Because that means there was always a possibility of a vanilla story going horribly, horribly wrong.

While technically NTR-ish, this isn't your run of the mill stuff. It's about the regret that comes when you're afraid to take a leap into the unknown. It's also very well written. One can only hope they will find eachother again.

Regret, plain and simple. By not taking action we stand to lose everything.

Ambiguity. Who does she end up marrying. Or is it just him realising what he's lost. Open to interpretation. Superb in my opinion.

It's not anger, but regret. BSS stories pretty much always work on regret. He mainly regrets two things. The first is that his failure destroyed the future he dreamed of, but also that his failure caused her to destroy herself.
