Great idea and very generous of you, but I don't have the time to bed into a new game and compete right now. I look forward to seeing the results though. :)
There was pride in the soldiers, but both civilians and the army were pressing for an end to the war by 1918. People were running out of food, no territory had been gained and the soldiers were being pushed into suicidal gambles to break the deadlock. I completely agree though, and it does seem well paced so far.
There was certainly a belief that, regardless of the strength of Britain, the Prussian legacy was still intact and that Germany deserved an empire. But I've never had the impression that most people were in disbelief at the armistice.
The Kiel mutiny, desperate food and resource shortages due to blockades, and front line losses were apparent to most people, but Hitler was being treated at Pasewalk military hospital for ages (from a gas attack if I remember rightly), so he wouldn't have felt the impact of those events. It was with the humiliating terms of Versailles, and then the fallout from the Great Depression (leading to hyperinflation of the Mark and a worsening food crisis), that people became bitter enough to abandon reason.

Can't help but find young Hitler a little bit handsome.
Nice work. I feel like the story is a bit over simplified, how he puts 2 + 2 together to make five just like that, but the video is a great accompaniment. I guess it helps highlight how irrational his hatred was, whatever the cause.

Mine's on 8th September, just sayin'Well how about that
Spoiler:
Edit: oh yeah, happy birthday flare :D
Maybe the pic was originally done for last year's E3 and that person had seen it before? They ranked in the same order. I personally loved it. :D
My friend went to the launch party last night in London; he posed with Duke, got to drink and watch dancers, and was given a free copy of the game. I'll be asking him how good it is before I invest. :p

I've been completely shitfaced, but I've never been sick, passed out or not remembered any bit of a night. I remain pretty sensible but it sure as hell isn't a case of knowing my limits; I'll buy a drink if someone else is. It's more just that the pubs don't stay open long enough. :pCome on, Dos. I was hoping you'd have a story for us.
Hah. Everyone has a few drunken stories, but mine aren't that interesting. I've never personally done anything stupid, at any rate. I just get a lot chattier and a bit rowdy.
I have a friend that gets the urge to steal things though. Brought a garden gnome and a rake back to the house we were at once, and convinced everyone to help him take a bench from some picnic area. Then everyone decided it was heavy as fuck and threw it into a field. They also told me about a time when they decided to go swimming in a neighbours pool at night, and he heard them and came out as they were about to get in. Everyone fucking leaps over the fence except this one dude, who just stands there and says "Pardon?". They used to quote it all the time.
I don't go out with them much though, they usually just get high.
I watched and blogged every conference, and I'll be writing and speaking summaries if I've got the time. :p
I hadn't been that interested in Skyward Sword up to now, but the new footage changed that. Bioshock Infinite is looking awesome (and Ken Levine retweeting my Sanshee tweet just capped it!), I now badly want a 3DS, the Wii U looks really interesting if they use it right, I want Halo 4 and CE even though I'm worried they'll ruin them, Lara Croft looks stunning (the game footage wasn't bad either), BATTLEFIELD, and the Vita could actually be good. Great E3 all round!

Nero and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Believe it. First couple of minutes have been cut off for Youtube limits; still listening to the full radio show on iPlayer but I'm loving it. It's more like Orchestra feat. Nero but it's still very pretty.
Not sure if it will be available everywhere, but the full show can be found here
The BBC support for dubstep is amazing. They have daily dubstep shows on that station and late night crossovers with the flagship Radio 1.
Edit: and proper album version of a new Skrillex track

I was linked to it a few days ago. I'm kinda curious who did mine. I'm not popular on this site, nor do i wish to be. <.<I did yours, what little there is there anyway. Popularity doesn't factor; its about achievements and contributions. If you'd like it deleted just give the word.
Ice cream would be funny, but doesn't exactly help identify the content. I like lazy's suggested image.
Also, can't help but mention that I got retweeted by Ken Levine and 7 other people yesterday :D linked to the Sanshee page for his Rapture shirt. It's a wonder that he managed to locate my tweet, it wasn't @ him.
"...the sheer amount of geometry, soft shadows, and blurring effects really showed off what the console is capable of doing.
It is, without question, more powerful than the 360 and PS3. Noticeably."

This is a good idea. It might still get a bit lost among the ecchi, but then there isn't enough stuff which is neither ecchi nor hentai to warrant its own category yet, and the description could cater for both. Unless someone can suggest a less contradictory tag title, non-H does seem like the easiest fix.
Edit: sorry if this doesn't make sense. I really shouldn't post when I'm this tired.
